Your life is more than your education. The struggle is not college, but balancing your life while in college.Justthink back to that one assignment you waited forever to start on, did in a rush, turned in at the last minute and still passed the class. If college, by itself, were really hard for you to begin with, then you wouldn’t have been able to do Thethat.reason you were in such a rush was more than likely not even education related. Maybe you procrastinated or had a job, group or hobby that took up the time you needed to work on it.
The majority of my difficulties come from one outside factor — time management. College isn’t that hard, but managing your time is. Balancing your education with all other facets of your life is the real Yeah, lesson.you are taking anywhere from 15 to 19 hours a semester in college, but imagine those hours alone. However, I’m not talking about life in college — I’m talking about college as a system of education. College, by itself, isn’t that hard, and it’s not meant to be. It should be fun! You should be exploring subjects and taking classes that interest you.
A test cannot accurately depict a student’s effort, but it can illuminate the cracks in our education system. This is especially true faced with the reality that standardized testing favors the wealthy.
Students will be given a chance to prove they can put in effort toward the courses they are paying for instead of be ing harshly judged before they even step foot on campus.
When test scores were still compulso ry for admissions, UCA required students who didn’t meet the minimum scores take remedial courses and enroll in a student success course, neither of which counted toward their chosen degree. Forcing students to pay more for a low test score is not a Withsolution.themajority of low-income students falling victim to the cycle of standardized testing, it is unlikely that they will be able to pay their tuition out of pocket. So, with little financial knowl edge, these students take out loans they’ll have trouble paying back.
This decision, enacted during the 2020-21 academic year as a reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic, reportedly had no negative impact on the success of students admitted on GPA alone, ac cording to Kristin Dooley, faculty senate president.
We have all felt the weight of money in our current climate, and not in a good way.
On Monday, Aug. 12, The University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees renewed its previous decision, deeming standardized testing nonobligatory to undergraduate admittance through the 2026-27 school year.

Universities have been known to give scholarships to those who do well on standardized tests and not those who are more likely to need the extra financial assistance.Bypermanently removing the require ment for standardized testing, universi ties can ensure their students are primed for success and given equal opportunities in a learning environment.
I looked closely at my college career so far and found that the majority of my problems and stress don’t come from understanding the course content or even being able to do what’s asked of me in my classes.
This also tends to seep into other areas of your life. For example, if you’re financially secure, you aren’t affecting your kids and those around you with your stress.

That being said, I realized that while I’m content with my relationships, motivation and progress — I still couldn’t find myself being happy, which made me think that maybe money does buy happiness.
The education system has placed a massive emphasis on predicting per formance through standardized testing instead of prioritizing equal access to higher education and funds. A standard ized test is not a better measure of work ethic and knowledge than a student’s GPA, proved by the retention data.
Inflation has been a killer to everyone’s pockets.
Before you disagree, let me explain what I mean when I say college isn’t that hard. Life in college is a crazy time of change, uncertainty and new responsibilities. Life while you are in college presents loads of challenges.

There was a correlation between the amount of money she had and her satisfaction with life.
me. The hours aren’t all that demanding alone. The demanding part is all of the commitments outside my education.
Let this be an affirmation for you. Say it with me. College isn’t that hard.
Be proud of yourself this semester whenever you get things done. Don’t look at your life as a whole and say, “Man, college is really hard!” Look at the assignment you just narrowly completed as your whole life is happening around you and say, “College isn’t that hard.”
Personally, money has been the most significant stressor in my life for the past few months. The thought of money has made me sad, angry and ready to pull my hair out.
But, in a world where many people are worrying about how they will afford basic necessities — money becomes a significant factor in their overall happiness and mental health.
Imagine college like a pot of soup. When you add in other ingredients like a social life, family time, hobbies, RSO’s and even jobs, the pot starts to simmer, and the heat rises.
But how can you have those things without being financially stable and not worrying about money?Iknow everyone’s situation is different, and I know that individuals without the worry of However, I also believe that financial freedom would make millions of people significantly happier. Not everyone recognizes having a significant amount of money is a level of freedom. With that freedom comes the opportunity to live beyond restraint.
It allows everyone to feel free and happy to enjoy whatever they want.
Is anyone surprised that a racist made a test to further his racist self-fulfilling prophecy and beliefs? No. Universities must be held accountable for their part in the cycle created by the unequal playing field.

Maybe money does buy happiness
Maybe you were busy living your best life, not worrying about that particular assignment. Yet, you still got it in and passed the class. You can do more than you think. So when you think about college as your system of education — it’s not that hard. The real challenge is adapting to everything life throws at you that is outside of your education during your education.
The ability to generate wealth and live beyond the fear of not having enough money creates a sense of security, fueling that happiness in your life.
Students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds cannot afford the luxury of ACT and SAT tutors, taking the test as many times as it takes to get the score they need or private schools with better funding.According to an article by the Wash ington Post on the relationship between income and the SAT, “students from families earning more than $200,000 a year average a combined score of 1,714, while students from families earning un der $20,000 a year average a combined score of 1,326.”
In a perfect world, money wouldn’t be an influencer of happiness.
Throughout the summer, it was becoming more and more evident that money does buy a certain level of happiness.
With zero negative ramifications reflected in the retention data, we have to wonder what could justify restoring this system in the future. Why maintain a fruitless structure that only serves to exclude students that universities have labeled a liability to their reputation?

Thrilling fight scenes, witty one-liners and abundant gore blend wonderfully in “Day Shift,” a Netflix original action-comedy movie following vampire hunter Bud Jablonski (Jamie Foxx) as he battles the bloodthirsty vampires to pay for his daughter’s tuition and braces.Alongside Foxx, “Day Shift” stars Dave Franco, Snoop Dogg, Meagan Good, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Karla Souza, Scott Adkins and Steve Howey.

It is difficult to make a movie of this type and make it feel new and fresh, especially with a reported budget of $3 million, according to director Scott Mann in an interview with The Verge. “Fall” held its own against others in its genre, as well as the hard hitters released earlier in the summer. That alone makes it worth watching.
Bud and Seth eventually learn to work together as Bud desperately fights to keep his family together by doing what he does best: slaying vampires.
5. Love your roommates
Very early on, the documentary becomes less about McAfee himself and more about those left in the wake of his chaos.
Now, admittedly this is not a new concept for a movie. This premise has been used time and time again, one of the more significant examples being “127 Hours,” produced by Danny Boyle, where a climber

2.Get behind I realize I just said you can use all-nighters to get ahead, but what I really meant by “get ahead” was “catch up.” The fall semester won’t be nearly as challenging or thrilling if you don’t get behind on your work at some point. Those who interacted with McAfee remain visibly disturbed by their time spent with him.
“Fall” has the makings of every survival movie you’ve ever seen, including the constant failures, the desperate attempts for food or water, the betrayals, the injuries that seem to put a running timer on a character’s remaining screen time and a sense of unbalanced hope and optimism that will inevitably get squashed.Theseare necessary to keep the plot interesting, yes, but timeworn from overuse. It may be true that these factors make “Fall” feel reminiscent of some movie you can’t quite place your finger on, but the plot twists set it apart from its genre. Not only that, but they will make you question every detail of the movie you thought made sense before.

These roles are essential to the future development of Becky and Hunter, but not for Dan, as he immediately falls to his death, leaving Becky traumatized and depressed for a portion of the movie. Yeah, yikes. Thus, the real plot begins to unfold when a year later, poor, depressed Becky is convinced by Hunter to climb the abandoned B67 tower.
