For a medicated sufferer, a daily dose of Lexapro or Wellbutrin keeps the wheels turning and the tears suppressed. For others, the suggestion of a face mask mends that otherwise bad day.

Following the announcement of President Joe Biden’s plan for student loan forgiveness on Aug. 24, a wide range of reactions shrouded what should have been a small victory, turning the focus away from the plan itself, and onto a conversation of equity.
If pursuing higher education were more accessible to the average American, the problem of paying back a student loan would not force borrowers to choose between a loan payment and necessities for their everyday life.
This anger is misdirected toward Biden’s plan by those who would have you believe less student debt is a bad thing. It is easy for politicians to push this agenda to their own gain, despite the forgiven PPP loans under each of their names, if it means convincing the voters who lack class consciousness that Biden’s plan is harming them.

If you praise the discussion of mental health, yet continue shaming a person for choosing the route of medication, you’re not quite the advocate you think you are.
by Madison ogle by andraea aguilera Staff Writer
In a study by the Pew Research Center on the challenges of student loan repay ment, they found financial instability to be the biggest barrier to repayment, de spite the desire of borrowers to pay them off. The idea that “lazy” borrowers don’t want to pay their loans is a myth.
law could face a class A misdemeanor, which holds a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $2000 fine.
Those who paid their student loans without assistance may frown upon the plan, but it wasn’t designed to meet the needs of those who had the resources to handle them on their own. As with any conversation in this country involving government assistance, the blame is dis placed onto the ones in need of support, instead of the systems that put them in those positions in the first place.
According to the White House, Biden’s plan will provide Pell Grant re cipients up to $20,000 in debt relief, or $10,000 for non-recipients. Borrowers are only eligible if their individual income is less than $125,000, or $250,000 for married couples.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been taught about banned books and why they’re significant. We even have a week dedicated to banned books, which will be Sept. 18-24 this year. That week celebrates the freedom to read, but that freedom has slowly been chipped away. It’s a wonder we’re still allowed to read at all.
It also fails to acknowledge the hypoc risy of any American to make this claim. My generation pays a payroll tax toward funding a Social Security program we will likely never touch. Education programs, healthcare and housing are all things that our society pays for, even if the programs don’t benefit us directly.
By being a proponent of only “natural” remedies, you limit people from routes that might be the best option. When adults shy away from a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, it’s often because they’ve been raised in an environment where it’s been looked down upon. Even if that person decides to pick up SSRIs later in life, they deal with that internal dread of feeling like their well-being depends on a pill. For many, their life is very dependent on that daily dose.
Before you spit your “big pharma” monologue to someone reliant on that daily 20 milligrams, consider how lucky you must be to avoid existential fatigue by partaking in 30 minutes of self-care.
The public takes every moment available to campaign for mental health or sympathize with those spending more time inside their own head than out of it. It’s not misplaced by any means, but a majority of those who continue to emphasize the practice of selfcare forget, or intentionally exclude, those that find peace in a pill.
Missouri just passed a law that bans both public and private school libraries from having books with “explicit sexual material” on their shelves. The law, passed on Aug. 28, defines this material as a visual depiction of sex scenes or genitalia, so it is based on images and not the text
I see this all the time working in a library.Parents tell me how they’ve finally convinced their children to start reading, even if just a graphic novel. Some children only have the mental capacity to read these genres.Think of the kids that spent all summer in anticipation of returning to their school libraries so they could check out their favorite books, just to realize they have been swiped from the shelves.
The White House states that more than 60% of the borrowing population are Pell Grant recipients, which means roughly 27 million people are eligible for up to $20,000 in relief.
Everyone should be having daily walks and pampering themselves once in a while. But for a majority of adults with depression, these practices are not going to produce any long-term, sustainable results. You wouldn’t shame someone for taking flu medicine, so why shame someone for using antidepressants to stay functional and happy?
It is not unfair that you were able to pay your loans off when, without student loan relief, many Americans will have their debt for life. It is unfair, however, to allow those in need to suffer under a debt they cannot pay. This plan will assist mil lions of Americans in starting the process of getting back on their feet, and that will never be a bad thing.

In this case, parents have complained that books with such graphics cause their children to be groomed into becoming sex addicts. affect a large portion of adults today. According to the World Health Organization, depression affects approximately five percent of the global population. It’s hard to imagine one form of help being unanimous across 400 millionAntidepressantspeople. — or any medications for that matter — do have their own side effects, but many of those who are medicated would much rather sacrifice their libido or slim figure for any stretch of time they can spend away from their internal problems.
Whenever I’ve discussed mental health with friends, I’ve always brought up the option of adding an antidepressant to their lifestyle. This depends on how intense their troubles are, but I remind friends that you’re going to know yourself better than anyone else.
Our country shames those who make the choice not to attend college, yet re fuses to help the ones who attended in the hopes of improving their futures.
For a country that screams we’re the land of the free, we really aren’t free to read whatever the hell we want. It’s 2022, why are we still challenging and banning books?
It’s not surprising that this self-seeking mindset is emanating from the general public.Americans would like to believe that they have bootstrapped their way through their lives with no assistance from the government. They believe that if they can do it, anyone else should be able to do it, too. This individualistic mindset does not take into account that every American does not begin at the same starting line.

Yet, the childish retorts of injustice can be heard from those who believe it is unfair since they “followed the rules.”

But it’s not any cause for shame. The bravery to pursue medical help for depression is rare to see and even more rare to hear about.

In the book, McCurdy details what it was like having a cancer patient, self-absorbed, unstable mother who lived vicariously through her acting career and constantly suppressed McCurdy of age-appropriate independence. She walks readers through each stage of her life and the trauma that followed her throughout, which all circled back to her mother in some way or another.Although her mother is a key factor and the book’s namesake, their relationship isn’t the only one in McCurdy’s life that is explored. Readers learn about other family relationships she had with her father and grandparents, romantic relationships, friendships and even those with bosses and co-workers.
The first song she performed was “All Things Go,” a slower Minaj song that highlights what she went through in her career and lifetime. It was the perfect song to start off with because it allowed the crowd to hear how far she has come in her career.

It took me three years to finally listen to “Norman Fucking Rockwell!” and I honestly cannot believe I lived so long without it. Lyrically this is Lana’s best work. She experiments successfully with folk, soft rock and plain pop. The crowning jewel of “NFR” is “Venice Bitch,” a nearly ten-minute track that metamorphosizes Lana’s gentle affection. She laments burnout, sobriety and complex love in and out of almost every track. Lana sheds the usual naiveté needed to appreciate her music and presents her most modern and raw takes. She was snubbed on award nominations.

The Chats don’t take themselves too seriously as you see in most music today, and the music is the same: not common today.
As honest, raw and dark as this book is, McCurdy also lightens the mood with happy memories here and there and shares what could be considered a “happy ending” as she finds closure in certain aspects of her life and learns to take back control. While most people likely don’t have a life as crazy and traumatic as McCurdy’s, the book puts any idea of Jennette McCurdy, the actor, into a whole new perspective. This autobiography reveals that she is more than just her television roles, more than her mother’s “perfect” daughter, eating disorders and toxic relationships; yet those are the things that shaped her and experiences that led to her finding peace with her mother’s death and her traumatic past.

5. “Paradise” “Paradise” is Lana’s first commercial debut and was included in the sales of “Born to Die,” tacked onto the end, and called the Paradise Edition. Overshadowed and underrated, this album is conceptual and plays like theater. This is Lana’s voice at its most sultry and her aesthetic at its most Americana. Paradise has difficulty taking up space in the modern zeitgeist as its lyrics and visuals can easily be misrepresented and misunderstood. My favorite track from this album is “Yayo,” a ballad narrated by a shaky and airy Lana, which is soulful, jazzy and the heart of “Paradise.”
The Chat’s bio on Twitter reads “crap, snotty, completely talentless,” after a user on Twitter called them so. If their music is as that user describes, then I want more snotty, talentless Aussies to pick up a guitar.

“Born To Die,” Lana’s breakout album, is her most theatrical and produced. The orchestras, that signature snare, and the big budget music videos with her pretend tattooed lover are indulgent and irresistible. This album takes the most dramatic emotions your teenage brain ever had and makes them into background music for falling in love. Lana sings in Lolita, “Look at what I bought, not a second thought, Oh Romeo.” The album is intentionally faux-naif, similar to Melanie Martinez’s “Cry Baby” or Marina and the Diamond’s “Electra Heart.” Enjoying this work requires a suspension of disbelief.
This book was an exceptional read that sheds light on the minds of many people who suffer from mental illnesses, eating disorders and trauma and is a must-read autobiography.
The album is 28 minutes of yelling and killer instruments from the three-man group.

2.”Born To Die”
Jennette McCurdy poses with an urn on the cover of her new book, “I’m Glad My Mom Died.” The autobiography takes a deep dive into her relationship with her mother, her mental health struggles and life as a child actor.
“Ultraviolence” is Lana’s rockiest and most definitive, although steeped in naiveté and irony. The title track, one of her most controversial, drew critiques of glamorizing abuse and was mostly overshadowed by the soft rock crowd favorite, “West Coast.” Lana spins the tale of loving a man who she admires but cannot fully hold onto. Lana’s songwriting centers on loving men and what their love makes her: “When he calls, he calls for me, and not for you.” Stronger in the first half, the songs become whinier and less fully fleshed as the album wraps. This album was a PR disaster and my all-time favorite.
“Honeymoon” is Lana’s most underrated album. Sonically, it is the most beautiful thing she has ever released. The lyrics here are some of her most honest; “Religion” creates a pit in my stomach every time I listen. The draw of Lana here is her admittance of obsession, getting the blues and, chiefly, being secondary. Work on the album began before her whirlwind Italian lover publicly dogged her and cheated. The album leads with the tenderest of frightening affection and ends with the somber pleading for understanding. This album has no skips; I even enjoy the T.S. Eliot interlude.
Jennette McCurdy is best known for her role as the funny, aggressive, food-loving Sam Puckett in the Nickelodeon series “iCarly”; however, her life off-screen was quite the opposite.
The track “The Price of Smokes” complains of the rising cost of cigarettes with a lyric that jumps out at listeners: stating that those in Australia’s parliament “ought to be hung by theirAccordingnecks.” to researchers from the University of Queensland, 48% of people who quit smoking in 2019 in the country did so because of costs, which rose 12.5% annually from 2013-2020, making it the highest price for a pack in the world.

The album starts with a quick tempo and heavy guitar with “6L GTR.” The accompanying music video depicts The Chats driving in their own branded van and gawking at the titular sports car on the highway.
The Chats are very high energy, making the album a lot of fun to listen to as they shred guitar and make huge leaps in their lyrics.

Despite the call, the Bears maintained their energy and fought until the end, taking nine shots total in the second half with five of them being on goal.
“I think our determination to want to win the game in the second half was really what we’ve been searching for throughout the season,” Gutierrez said. “We’ve shown our fight, commitment and our work ethic.”
“We started the game pretty slow I think, on the wrong foot and a little bit tired, and they were ready … we conceded a goal pretty early in the first half and then we were chasing the score,” UCA senior midfielder Karim Diao said.
The cross country team will next meet at Beaver Fork Lake on Saturday, Sept. 10, just over four miles from campus. Both races will be 5Ks, the men starting at 8:45 a.m. and the women at 9:20.
The Bears came out hot in the second half with five scoring opportunities in the first 10 minutes. The most notable of which occurred at the 50-minute mark when senior forward Sebastian Andreassen headed the ball into the goal off of a corner kick. However, the goal was disallowed due to a foul call on the senior.
