partnership PLEASE READ BEFORE PLANNING ANY EVENT. Working with the Union for your Event/Fundraising Event will be considered a partnership. Within this partnership, you must respect the following: * YOU ARE A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UNION * YOU ARE PROMOTING THE UNION Following a meeting based on the contents of this document, the terms of the partnership will be agreed. This is based on the assistance you require from the Union. The terms can range from featuring our logo on your marketing material, advertising our merchandise or NUS Extra cards, or a percentage of your income.

fACTORS TO CONSIDER INCOME

• The Union sells tickers online but provides no staff to distribute the purchased tickets – The Union takes 7% of the sales.

The partnership would include sharing a percentage of your income with the Union based on the following factors:

• The Union sells tickets online and manages the distribution of the tickets and entry on the door – The Union takes 7% from online sales and charge £8 per hour for the student staff provided (with a minimum of 5 hours).

• Little assistance from the Union (eg. Booking and liaising with the Bar, using our Social Media platforms) – The Union takes 0% of the income.

OTHER FACTS TO CONSIDER TIME If you are looking to run an event, the form must be completed, 4 weeks prior to the proposed date.

AFFILIATION Consider who and what will be a part of your event. This must be appropriate, bearing in mind the affiliation with your Union.

INCLUSIVE Working in partnership with the Union, the event must be non-discriminatory and inclusive to all.
