The graduate programs in UCM’s School of Technology are designed for students who want to secure advanced roles in management and supervisory positions in technology-related organizations, enterprises and activities. UCM is a state leader in program-specific accreditations through national associations. We are fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The M.S. in Industrial Management (MSIM) and M.S. in Technology (MST) were the first in the U.S. to be accredited by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). We are also a STEM program, and the curriculum is developed based on the collaborative efforts of our faculty and industrial advisory boards. This combination of experience and expertise allows us to offer the finest advanced degree programs to aspiring professionals.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be accepted into this program, students must have a minimum GPA of 2.6 in their undergraduate major for MSIM or GPA of 2.5 for the MST program. GRE or GMAT scores are not required. IELTS and TOEFL Scores are accepted. To apply, students must fill out the application and submit a one- to two-page career goal statement, a résumé, three contact references and an official transcript from their bachelor’s degree institution.

WORK ON CAMPUS

International students are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week on campus. There are many available jobs at UCM, including in the computer lab, cafeterias and restaurants, library, academic departments, facilities and more. M.S. IN INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT

The Master of Science in Industrial Management provides a balanced curriculum that focuses on the human element of the workplace and a variety of industrial systems. Throughout the program, you will develop specific skills in project management, leadership and problem solving. Graduate in as little as two years with flexible learning options! You may choose to complete your M.S. in Industrial Management 100% online (from your hometown) or in a combination of online and on-campus courses. The Lean Six Sigma Graduate Certificate can be integrated into this degree program as an area of specialization. This program also facilitates articulation to a Ph.D. in Technology Management.

The program curriculum includes 33 credit hours: 21-24 credits for required core courses and 9-12 credits for Cognate and Elective courses. IndM courses are presented, see table below.

The Master of Science in Technology prepares you for advanced positions in technology-related organizations and enterprises and can be completed in two years. Flexible learning options allow you to take courses online or in-person at our Warrensburg and Lee’s Summit campuses. Our facilities are designed to provide you with the opportunity to experience state-of-the art technology, software applications and equipment. You can specialize your M.S. in Technology in several pre-approved graduate electives, including:

• Pay the $75 application fee.

• Submit transcripts by uploading an unofficial copy to the student application portal. All transcripts must be translated into English.

o Before you can enroll, official transcripts must be submitted to the Graduate and International Student Services (GISS) office.
