Become a Traditions Keeper

Since 1871, students have been making memories and keeping traditions at the University of Central Missouri. While your journey is unique, there are some experiences that all UCM students share. These traditions help distinguish our university and define what it means to be a Mule or Jennie.

Take this book with you to document your time as a student, honoring and preserving time-tested traditions and creating your own! Check off traditions as you experience them and visit Smiser Alumni Center in Elliott Student Union to earn rewards and recognition, including a Traditions Keeper medallion to wear at graduation!

Start off by simply going to orientation, stopping by the UCM Alumni Foundation at Smiser and following us on social media to become part of our #AlumFromDayOne community.

� Find the MuleNation chapter near your hometown.

� Visit Smiser Alumni Center.

� Take a photo with cutout Mo at Smiser.

� Ring the Dummy Line bell at Smiser.

� Participate in the Week of Welcome.

� Go to the Involvement Fair.

� Cheer to the “Fight Song.”

� Sing our “Alma Mater.”
