THE GAME: The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team faces Notre Dame at Purcell Pavilion in South Bend on Saturday, January 14 at 11 a.m. The game will be televised by espn2. UConn enters the contest with a record of 13-3 and comes off a 64-57 win over West Virginia on January 9 at the XL Center in Hartford. The Huskies are being paced by All-America candidate Jeremy Lamb at 18.6 points per game, Bob Cousy Award candidate Shabazz Napier at 13.8 points and 6.3 assists per contest, and freshman Andre Drummond at 10.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game. UConn is ranked No. 17 nationally in the Associated Press poll and No. 16 in the ESPN/USA Today Top 25 ranking. Notre Dame is 11-6 after a 60-49 victory at home against USF on January 10. UConn owns a 16-9 all-time mark against Notre Dame.

It was just the fourth time in seven seasons dating back to the start of the 2004-05 campaign that the Huskies hit over 60-percent from the field. The Huskies rank second in the BIG EAST Conference at 48.2-percent from the field.
