THE GAME: The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team faces Tennessee at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville on Saturday, January 21, at 4 p.m. The game will be televised by CBS. UConn enters the contest with a record of 14-4 and comes off a 70-67 loss to Cincinnati on January 18 at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs. The Huskies are being paced by All-America candidate Jeremy Lamb at 17.7 points per game, Bob Cousy Award candidate Shabazz Napier at 14.6 points and 6.3 assists per contest, and four-time BIG EAST Rookie of the Week freshman Andre Drummond at 9.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game. UConn is ranked No. 13 nationally in the Associated Press poll and No. 11 in the ESPN/USA Today Top 25 ranking. Tennessee is 8-10 after a 57-53 loss in overtime at Georgia on January 18. UConn is 1-1 all-time against Tennessee, but it is the Huskies’ first trip to Knoxville.
