THE GAME: The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team faces Marquette at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn., on Saturday, February 18, at noon. The game will be televised by ESPN. UConn enters the contest with a record of 16-9 overall, 6-7 in the BIG EAST, coming off an 80-54 victory over DePaul on February 15 at Gampel Pavilion. The Huskies are being paced by All-America candidate Jeremy Lamb at 17.2 points per game, Bob Cousy Award candidate Shabazz Napier at 13.0 points and 5.8 assists per contest, freshman Ryan Batright at 10.4 points per game and four-time BIG EAST Rookie of the Week freshman Andre Drummond at 10.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. The Huskies are 12-2 at home this season, 8-1 at the XL Center. Marquette is 21-5 overall and 10-3 in the BIG EAST after a 95-78 home win over Cincinnati on February 11. The Golden Eagles are 4-4 on the road this season, 3-3 in BIG EAST road games.
