UConn is beginning its 38th season of competition in the XL Center, formerly the Hartford Civic Center. Since the Huskies’ first appearance in the building in 1975-76, they have a 233-85 (.733) record there. Tonight’s game is the first of nine games UConn will host in the XL Center during the 2013-14 season.
UP NEXT: UConn will open the regular 2013-14 season on Friday, Nov. 8, at 6:30 p.m. against Atlantic Coast Conference stalwart Maryland at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The game will be televised on ESPN2. It will be the Huskies’ first-ever appearance at Barclays Center and first of three games in New York City this season.

THE GAME: The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team plays its second and final exhibition game of the 2013-14 season against the Division III Cougars of Concordia University-Chicago. UConn finished the 2012-13 season with a 20-10 overall record and a 10-8 Big East mark under first-year coach Kevin Ollie. It was UConn’s 17th 20-win season in the last 20 years. Concordia, a member of the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference, finshed with a 4-21 record last season, 4-12 in NACC games. UCONN IN EXHIBITION GAMES: UConn is 46-6 in exhibition games over the last 27 years and has won 39 exhibition games in a row since losing to Marathon Oil on Nov. 21, 1993 at Gampel Pavilion.
