CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: For the second time in four years, the University of Connecticut men’s basketball team will play for the championship of the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam, played at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. The Huskies (4-0), who won the 2008 Paradise Jam, will meet New Mexico tonight (10 p.m. EST, 11 p.m. AST) for the 2012 tournament title. UConn, which advanced to the championship game with thrilling 89-83 doubleovertime victory over Quinnipiac in the semifinals Sunday night, is led by junior guard Shabazz Napier, averaging 20.8 points per game. New Mexico also reached the title game via a thriller, topping George Mason, 70-69, on a buzzer-beating three-pointer by Tony Snell, who leads the team in scoring at 19.7 points per game.
