The UConn men’s basketball team continues its 2016-17 non-conference schedule with its first road game of the season, challenging Loyola Marymount at Gersten Pavilion in Los Angeles. The game is scheduled for a 10 p.m. (EST) tipoff and will be televised by SNY. The Huskies (0-2) are coming of a 64-61 home loss to Northeastern on Monday night, the second of seven games in a 20-day span to begin the season. Through the first two games, UConn is led in scoring by redshirt sophomore swingman Terry Larrier (18.0 ppg), while sophomore guard Jalen Adams (12.0) and freshman guard Aletrique Gilbert (10.5) are also in double figures. Senior Amida Brimah is rthe leading rebounder (6.0) and also is tops in blocked shots (4.5), while Adams leads in assists (3.5). Loyola Marymount (1-1), out of the West Coast Conference, is coming off a 79-64 loss at Nevada on Monday after opening the season with a victory over Vanguard. The Lions are led in scoring by senior swingman Buay Tauch (15.5) while senior guard Brendon Brown is second in scording (9.5) and leads in assists (5.0). The team’s top rebounders are senior Stefan Jovanovic (6.0) and junior Petr Herman (6.0). UConn, which will proceed to Hawaii following the game to compete in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational, is meeting Loyola Marymount for the first time.

HUSKY BITES program, with a career record of 97-46. He reached 50 victories faster than any coach in UConn history and is already fifth on the all-time list of UConn coaching victories. His .678 winning percentage ranks fourth among UConn coaches who have coached over 20 games and he and mentor Jim Calhoun are the only UConn coaches to win the NCAA championship.

 UConn is in its seventh season as a television partner of the SNY network. The Huskies

have a record of 46-10 (.821) in games televised by SNY. UConn went 11-2 on SNY in 2010-11, 9-4 on SNY in 2011-12, 12-1 in 2012-13, 5-0 in 2013-14, 4-1 in 2014-15, 5-0 in 2015-16 and is 0-2 this year.
