coach of the UConn men’s basketball program, with a career record of 55-20. He is the only head coach in UConn history to reach 50 victories in his first two years and his .733 winning percentage is the best of any coach in UConn history who has coached more than 20 games.

UP NEXT: After a nine-day break for exams, UConn
will return to action on Sunday, Dec. 14, meeting Coppin St. at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. The game will begin at 4 p.m. and be televised by SNY.
THE GAME: The UConn men’s basketball team continues its non-conference schedule by entertaining in-state rival Yale at Gampel Pavilion. It will be the 67th meeting between the schools in a series that dates back to 1914-15. The game will begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised by SNY. UConn (3-2) is coming off a 55-54 heartbreaking loss to No. 7 Texas on Sunday. The Huskies are led by senior Ryan Boatright, who is averaging 20.8 points, 6.2 rebounds. and 4.0 assists per game. Freshman Daniel Hamilton is also in double figures at 13.2 points per game, while sophomore Kentan Facey is the top rebounder at 7.2 per game. Yale (7-2) is coming off a 67-60 win at Bryant on Wednesday and has won seven of its last eight. Javier Duran is the Elis’ top scorer at 14.1 ppg.
