THE GAME: The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team begins its final week of the season with a return game against the University of South Florida on Wednesday, March 6, at the Sun Dome in Tampa, Fla. The game begins at 9 p.m. and will be televised by ESPNU. UConn (19-9 overall, 9-7 BIG EAST), which defeated USF, 69-64 in overtime on Feb. 3, is coming off a 61-56 loss at Cincinnati on March 2. The Huskies are led by junior Shabazz Napier (17.1 ppg, 4.6 apg) and sophomore Ryan Boatright (15.3 ppg, 4.4 apg). Sophomore DeAndre Daniels (11.5 ppg, 5.2 rpg) and freshman Omar Calhoun (11.4 ppg) also average in double figures. USF (11-17, 2-14) is coming off an 83-73 win over DePaul Sunday, which broke a 10-game losing streak. Junior Victor Rudd (11.7 ppg) is the Bulls’ top scorer.
