USF HEAD COACH WILLIE TAGGART Willie Taggart is in his first season as the head coach at USF after serving as head coach at Western Kentucky from 2010-12. He led WKU to a 13-11 record, including 7-5 marks in the final two years and an appearance in the 2012 Little Caesars Bowl. Taggart has an overall record of 14-15 as a collegiate head coach. He served as an assistant coach at Western Kentucky from 1999-2006, ending his tenure as assistant head coach and QB coach. He was the running backs coach at Stanford from 2007-2009 prior to being named the head coach at WKU. He is a 1998 WKU graduate and was the team’s starting quarterback from 1995-98 and is one of four players at WKU to have his jersey retired.

Radio & TV Coverage TELEVISION COVERAGE Saturday’s game will be televised as the American Athletic Conference Game of the Week through ESPN Regional Television. Eamon McAnaney will handle playby-play duties and is joined by former NFL tight end Anthony Becht on color, while Brooke Weisbrod is on the sidelines. Todd Jones is the producer and Will Beatke is the director. The game will be seen in Connecticut and the metropolitan New York area on SNY and will also be seen in such markets as Chicago (WCIU), Philadelphia (WPVI), Dallas-Ft. Worth (KTXD), Washington, D.C. (MASN), Houston (KUBE), Tampa-St. Petersburg (WFTS), Orlando (WKCF), Cincinnati (WKRC), San Antonio (KCWX) and Louisville (WHAS). RADIO COVERAGE The UConn IMG Sports Network is the home of Husky football on the radio. WTIC Newstalk 1080 in Hartford serves as the flagship station and is the state’s only 50,000 watt signal and can be heard in 23 states and parts of Canada. The 2013-14 year marks the 22nd consecutive season that WTIC is the flagship for UConn sports. The 2013-14 football and men’s and women’s basketball season also marks the second year that the radio rights are held by IMG College, which is UConn’s multi-media rights partner.

The all-time series is tied at 5-5. • UConn linebacker Yawin Smallwood averages 13.8 tackles per contest, best in The American and second in the nation. • Saturday’s game is the debut for Interim Head Coach T.J. Weist. It is also scheduled to be the first career start for true freshman quarterback Tim Boyle. • Wide receiver Geremy Davis had his second 100-yard receiving game in UConn’s last contest at Buffalo. He has eclipsed 100 twice this year, also surpassing the mark vs. Towson in the season opener. • The match-up with USF marks UConn’s first ever American Athletic Conference league game.
