The Coaches connecticut head coach paul pasqualoni UConn head coach Paul Pasqualoni made his Husky coaching debut a successful one on Sept. 3, 2011 as the Huskies topped Fordham of the FCS. The Cheshire, Conn. native was named the 28th head football coach in UConn history on January 14, 2011. Pasqualoni is the all-time winningest coach in BIG EAST Conference league wins with 65 and overall wins with 113. He is just one of two league coaches in history to win four BIG EAST Championships. His overall college coaching record stands at 149-88-1 (34-17 at WCSU, 107-59-1 at Syracuse and 8-12 at UConn). Pasqualoni has had a highly-successful career on all levels of football -- professional, college and high school. He was the head coach at Western Connecticut from 1982-86 and led the team to the NCAA Division II playoffs in 1985. He had an extremely successful tenure as the head coach at Syracuse from 1991-2004. Pasqualoni led the Orange to 107 wins, four BIG EAST titles and a 6-3 postseason record. Among his bowl appearances at Syracuse were two Fiesta Bowls (1992 and ‘97) and an Orange Bowl (‘98). For the previous five seasons, Pasqualoni has served on NFL staffs -- with Dallas in 2006-07 and ‘10 and with Miami in 2008-09. His first coaching job was an assistant coach at Cheshire HS from 1972-75. He is a 1972 Penn State graduate. USF Head Coach Skip Holtz Skip Holtz is in his third year as the head coach at USF and in 2010 he led the Bulls to an 8-5 record and defeated Clemson in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. Prior to the USF position, he was the head coach at East Carolina for five seasons as the Pirates won back-to-back Conference USA Championships in his last two years there. Holtz led ECU to appearances in the Liberty Bowl after the 2008 and ‘09 seasons and the Hawaii Bowl following the 2007 campaign. Holtz was also the head coach here at UConn from 1994-1998 and led the Huskies to a 10-3 mark in 1998 and earned a trip to the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs -- the school’s first-ever postseason appearance. From 1999-2003, he was on the coaching staff at South Carolina and from 1990-93 was an assistant at Notre Dame. He also coached at Colorado State (1989) and Florida State (1987-88). He is a 1986 Notre Dame graduate..

Radio & TV Coverage television coverage Saturday’s game is being televised nationally by ESPNU. Anish Shroff is on play-by-play with Dan Hawkins on color and Steve Reintjes is the producer. The game will be replayed in its entirety on SNY on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 2:00 p.m. and in a condensed “Husky Power Hour” version on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 5 at 8 a.m. (Connecticut only) and Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. (Connecticut only). radio coverage WTIC 1080-AM in Hartford serves as the flagship station for the UConn IMG Sports Network. WTIC is the state’s only 50,000 watt signal and can be heard in 23 states and parts of Canada. The 2012-13 year marks the 21st consecutive season that WTIC is the flagship for UConn sports. The 2012-13 football and men’s and women’s basketball season also marks the first year that the radio rights are held by IMG College, which is UConn’s multi-media rights partner. Veteran UConn announcers Joe D’Ambrosio (play-by-play) and Wayne Norman (color commentary) return to call the action with Kevin Nathan on the sidelines and Anthony “Rex” McCalla on production.
