What is Broncho Buddies? Broncho Buddies is an intercultural program pairing American UCO students with international students. After being matched by common interests, students are introduced at a kickoff party in September. Throughout the semester the Centre for Global Competency hosts fun events for Broncho Buddies to attend. Typical events include Thunder basketball games, laser tag, bowling, and cultural excursions throughout Edmond and Oklahoma City. Broncho Buddies spend time with each other at least once a month.

Your Future at UCO OGA Purpose Statement:
The Office of Global Affairs Commits to Guide, Serve and Advocate for International Students throughout their UCO Journey.
Dear student,
UCO is one of the most welcoming and safest places you will find in America. At UCO, we give the international students an opportunity to connect to a buddy program (800 students last year). In this program, you will be paired with an America student for activities and friendship. (Check it out: #ucobronchobuddies) We have another great program which will introduce you to one of our 170 American families who have signed up to “adopt” a UCO international student. They will invite you to share in their activities, birthdays and holidays. Finally, don’t forget to tell your parents that UCO is both welcoming and safe. The FBI ranked your new city as one of the top 10 safest in the United States. You’ll love it here. And we’ll love having you. See you soon, — Dennis Dunham, Ph.D. Executive Director, Global Affairs
