Step 4: Now create a copy of the text layer and go to the blending options settings and add an outer glow as shown is screen shot 4 (below). In this tutorial I will show you a very easy way to create and animate group avatar; the basic idea is to show you how to animate and you can apply this same theory onto almost anything and create your own cool animations. Draw up a retangle on your 100px by 50px canvas (the size for deviantART group avatars). If you want curved edges I suggest a 2px radius for the border.
My example animation would be to create some glowing text for it. Step 2: Add in any text you want;

This tutorial would completely teach you about how you can create a cool pressed in text effect on your own and change its looks to suit your designs. Step 1: Open up photoshop and make a new canvas; say for this tutorial I’ll be using 800px by 400px Step 2: Now type in some text: I used “The PS Magazine”
Step 3: Now go over to the blending options of this text layer. To do this hover your mouse over the text layer and right click; on the list that appears select “Blending Options”. Step 4: Set the options for the blending options page as shown on this screenshots shown in the tutorials folder > Screenshots 1-3 (Check these images and set the blending options setting accordingly)

Step 5: Your done, this text effect would work best on dark backgrounds. Step 6: This is an extra option to get a better look. Go back to the blending options setting and there go to the “Colour overlay” tab and set the colour to a darker tone of the background colour.

If you find that this times magazine did not contain enough content or that it was a bit out of shape. It all has a reason, which is that I lost the main laptop which held all copies of the pre made covers and designs for this times edition of the magazine. So with all the data gone we had to remake all these pieces of content (which have been built up over time) in a mere of 2 months and this was a lot of work. And as I was determined to continue the magazine and not put down the hopes of our readers I compiled this times edition to this level at the very best I could. So I apologies for any mistakes in this times editions and hope to release the next edition of the magazine by Jan-Feb 2012 compiled with a whole lot of goodies and content.
