THIS STUDIO WAS INTENDED TO DESIGN A URBAN PARK AT BUCHAREST(ROMANIA) TO ADDRESS THE ISSUES OF DOMINATING CAR POPULATION AND THE NECESSITY TO DEVELOP MULTI FUNCTIONAL TYPOLOGY FOR PUBLIC MU SPACES. UN

HYPOTHESIS : To accentuate the performative quality of the rural train station by insinuating tourism and public facility in order to develop a hybrid generic prototype for suburban railway stations across the west coast of India.

The project has been intended to investigate the potential of a suburban train station in order to accumulate a multiplicity of environments that can lead to an extension of its existing “spatial and material typology”. The notion of accumulative ecologies prompt a new spectrum to explore the dormant specificities of these transportation nodes by intensifying the spatial organization based on certain performative parameters.

ANALYSIS: The existing tourism in the state of Goa and its “polarity of beach tourism” experience( buzzing northern beaches and deserted and calm southern beaches) suggest an intended connection between these two poles through the site. Due to the promimity to the airport this site has an potential to draw a certain amount of tourist to explore the calm southern experience. Inter-state tourists can also be targeted because of the existing transportation tracks.
