• The Sabarmati offers geographical centrality for the city’s economic growth but right now this area is a land scar.

• West-side of Sabarmati later became part of the city center as the city kept growing.

• It has been historically and the business district itself was a major business house, old and new Reserve Bank, Time of India building, major commercial activity has been located on this road.

• Recently because of Sabarmati riverfront development, the land price has raised quite well now to bring out the full potential of this area.

• This area has been designated as CBD, with a new set of by-laws which includes building regulations as well as F.S.I available. It would further promote high-density development in this area.

• Fortunately, a metro is being built, which will make it possible for the city center to access labor from across the city.
