Appendix REGULATORY MASTERPLAN The masterplan regulation rules defined through the previous chapters form complex regulatory frameworks translated into the set of drawings and documents. In order to outline the way these rules should be applied as a local building code, the key components of the system will be presented.
PLOT-BASED APPROACH Our whole work is based on plot-based urbanism (see b01;p28), therefore the regulation is on the scale of the individual plots. The first step is to assign a unique ID code to every plot in our redevelopment area based on the block they belong to - then passports should be made for every single one.
CODING In order to make regulations clear enough, all 13 of them were written into codes. The set of codes contains all necessary information. The key for this coding is presented on the next pages.

MASTERPLAN Passports with parts of our regulations form the base for a regulatory masterplan drawing. Snapshots of our neighbourhood core and quiet residential area are presented for illustration (Figures 4 and 6). The plan consists of plot boundaries, block codes and simplified plot codes, and building and inner lines are drawn. In some cases, the building lines will be defined by the first developed plot on a street edge - therefore the drawing should be regularly updated.
