Shoko in “Sri Lanka” I am Shoko from Tokyo. While I major in international relations, learning international system at many dimensions, I'm taking some classes from business course. Last year I took one year exchange program in University Queensland, Australia,I enjoyed deepening my understanding of international relations at interesting courses and practical discussion with many international students. I have been selected to work for a company which plans and organizes industrial exhibitions as a marketing and sales staff in an overseas division. Afterwards, however, I was wondering what else I could do as a student. I still didn't want to stop exploring new experience. Just then,
I found the poster about AIESEC internship overseas. Then, at the next
moment, I found myself sending email to have contact with a AIESEC member. Later through several meetings and interviews, I have learnt about AIESEC more and could sharpen my aim for the internship. I decided to work for an international IT software company, hSenid international, in Sri Lanka for

three months. I arrived at Sri Lanka, the Lank like no other. The experience here is magnificent. Honestly, I could not expect that I would have lifetime experience before I started and even very first week I arrived. But the more I stay, the more I realize that this environment I have is so precious, nothing I can have

in Japan and even I could have in Australia. At hSenid, I'm working as a marketing force, trying to expand its opportunity in Japanese market. Everyday I'm learning something new through contacts with Japanese potential customers and preparative work with co-workers, which is exactly what I have wanted. Now, I can enjoy learning real dynamic international business which involves Japanese market. Also, I'm enjoying my life in Sri Lanka. On weekends, I pack my stuffs and jump onto car, bus, and sometimes awkward train, I go to beaches or mountains to enjoy great nature and to meet smiles of people in Sri Lanka. Additionally, I have to mention this as one of the greatness of internship of AIESEC. There are not less than 20 AIESEC trainees who are from everywhere in the world. While I'm just staying in Sri Lanka, I can learn about so many things about their countries. I think this is more than anything why I can enjoy my internship in Sri Lanka this much. While I'm at the middle of the internship, still I can say again that I'm sure this experience at AIESEC internship will be a life changing experience.
