Best Bets Florida’s Forgotten Coast Following in the footsteps of a wandering Florida black bear, three friends leave civilization and enter a lost American wilderness on a rugged thousandmile journey by foot, paddle and bike. Traversing Florida’s vast and seldom seen “Forgotten Coast,” the expedition encounters stunning and rare wildlife - all living within a fragile wildlife corridor stretching from the Everglades to the FloridaAlabama border. Tune in Thursdays at 9 p.m begining Sept. 7 “Ethan’s Bortnick’s Generations of Music ” This special, hosted by teenage musical superstar Ethan Bortnick, showcases and celebrates some of the best young musical talent present in the U.S. Tune in Sept. 3 at 7 and 8 p.m., Sept. 4 at 8 and 9 p.m “Martin Luther: The Idea That Changed the World ” The radical events, compelling personalities, and exciting drama of the Reformation are brought to life in this documentary featuring thrilling reenactments of the sixteenth-century events with commentary from leading church-history experts. Tune in Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. “The Vietnam War” This new 10-part, 18-hour documentary film series, directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, tells the epic story of the Vietnam War as it has never been told before on film. The series features testimony from nearly 80 witnesses, including many Americans who fought in the war and others who opposed it, as well as Vietnamese combatants and civilians from both the winning and losing side. Tune in Sept. 17-21 and 24-28 at 8 p.m.
