Payton Mulkey is our ‘19-’20 UF CKI Vice President. “As we begin a new month of CKI, I can’t help but feel excited about all of our members, both new and returning, and all of the amazing things we have done so far! October is sure to be full of tricks and treats for our club, from Trick-
September Tunes Here’s what Payton has been jamming out to this month.
or-Treat for the Homeless to Candy Gram sales. I hope you’re as “batty” about our upcoming events as I am!
Glitter and Gold - Barns Courtney Peace of Mind - Boston: “This is my favorite song by Boston because it really encompasses the competitive aspect of college and growing up that we all face. The guitar and singing also ROCK!” Beware the Dog - The Griswolds Fire - Barns Courtney: “I listen to this song on my way to class in the morning to pump myself up and remind myself that I’m strong.” Just What I Needed - The Cars Fox on the Run - Sweet
Boring fact: Green beans are my favorite vegetable.

Member Spotlight
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT Olivia Leaverton Olivia is a first-year psychology major with an emphasis in behavioral and cognitive neuroscience. “I decided I was interested in the field of psychology while shadowing my Grandad who was, at the time, counseling military families stationed in the Netherlands. I’ve always felt comfortable mentoring friends through difficult situations and have been passionate about advocating for mental health awareness, so I think a career in the field of psychology, either in counseling or research, would be a good fit for me in the future.”
Boring fact: “I once spent a whole day binging all eight Harry Potter movies. I’d gladly do it again. Shoutout to all my Ravenclaws out there!” Something people assume about her: “Many people assume that because I sing in choir I’m down to sing on the spot. Not true. Stage fright is a very real thing!” Page 8
Olivia was actively involved in her Key Club in high school. She met our lovely VP Payton at an activity fair and decided to continue her journey in the Kiwanis Family. “Huge shoutout to the recruitment committee!”
Best life advice she’s received: Make a habit of not accepting advice. Only you know what you want out of life. “My uncle wrote this in his graduation gift to me. With the understanding that not all advice is bad, it has made big decision-making much easier.” Gator K-Munication
