MAX WEINBERG’S JUKEBOX PREPARE TO PARTY Performing more than 150 shows since April of 2017, Max Weinberg’s Jukebox continues to barnstorm the country, blasting out the hits! As Chuck Berry instructed us in his classic, School Days, “…drop the coin right into the slot,” audiences have thoroughly embraced the idea of picking and calling out the songs the band pays—in real time and in a variety of intimate venues. From The Beatles to The Boss to The Rolling Stones to Steppenwolf, the band infuses these classics with the respect the songs deserve. As one fan said, “It’s not a concert—it’s party! The bar was packed!” But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what Marc Steczyk, director of the Lincoln Amphitheater, in Indiana, had to say: “Max Weinberg’s Jukebox was one of the most interactive, energetic performances that we’ve ever had at the Lincoln Amphitheater! Max, literally, leaves the stage to be amongst the crowd—his fans—and lets them pick the set list from a scrolling list of 300+ songs…and they play it…on the spot…spot on! Max is a pro’s pro, as was his entire band—tremendously professional to work with and a great asset to our entire performance series!”

THE MAX WEINBERG QUINTET The Max Weinberg Quintet epitomizes the synergy of jazz instrumentalists bringing their best instincts and improvisations to the stage. Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Weinberg, most widely known for his nearly 44-year association with Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band and as the band leader of the shining Max Weinberg Seven on NBC’s Late Night and Tonight Show broadcasts, brings his power, dynamism, versatility, and chops to all of his various musical aggregations—his Quintet is no exception as Weinberg has traveled the U.S. and Europe with these fine musicians drawing rave reviews. Delving deeply into the classic mid-60s world of hard bop, as exemplified by such iconic musicians as Art Blakey, Dexter Gordon, Thelonious Monk, Chet Baker, Horace Silver, and others of the genre, the Max Weinberg Quintet is comprised of David Kikoski, himself the leader of the Grammy Award-winning Charles Mingus Big Band and a revered pianist who established his reputation early in his career for his work with drumming legend Roy Haynes. Dave has also worked with Chick Corea, Michael and Randy Brecker, Al Foster, and film composer Christian McBride. Saxophonist Brandon Wright maintains an incredibly active session career on the East and West Coasts, has been a mainstay of the Doc Severinsen Orchestra, and has worked with Max Weinberg in varying capacities including his Quintet, his 23-piece society dance band, and the occasional appearance with Max and Bruce Springsteen. Cameron Brown is one of jazz’s great bassists having worked for many years with Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers, the famous Don Pullen/George Adams Quartet (with drummer Dannie Richmond). Trumpeter John Bailey is known as one of the

most electrifying trumpeters in New York City. From stints with Buddy Rich, Ray Barretto, and Latin jazz innovator Arturo O’Farrill, with whom he won two Grammys, John’s a high note man who’s subtlety only enforces his power. But, synergy is what it’s all about—the musical conversation these players establish from the very first downbeat. Commanding soloists all, they’ll have audiences on their feet with their renditions of energetic hard bop classics.
