POINTS OF PRIDE In overall rankings, UGA is: 9th on Kiplinger magazine’s 2011 list of best values among 100 public colleges and universities in America. 18th in U.S. News & World Report’s list of the 50 top public universities in America.
Elementary ed program ‘exemplary’ A National Council on Teacher Quality study cites UGA’s elementary education program alone as “exemplary” in preparing educators how to teach mathematics. Only nine out of 77 institutions across the country were rated “adequate.”
Faculty in 7 doctoral programs among nation’s most productive Seven doctoral programs in UGA’s College of Education are listed among the Top 10 in the nation in the third annual Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index.
Kinesiology doctoral programs rank 14th The College’s doctoral programs in kinesiology are ranked 14th in the nation in an evaluation last released by the American Academy of Kinesiology and Physical Education in 2006.
