Since 1998, the Dean Rusk International Law Center has offered international trainings designed to increase efficiency and accountability in the administration of justice and thereby foster an environment conducive to democratization, trade and investment, and social justice.

Participants include judges, prosecutors, and court personnel from many countries. The trainings foster close interactions with practicing judges, lawyers, and academic leaders and include visits to a variety of American courts.

IJT instructors are practicing judges and lawyers as well as distinguished Georgia Law faculty members.

PARTNERS

Your partners in judicial training are the Dean Rusk International Law Center, for nearly four decades the nucleus of international programs at the University of Georgia School of Law, and the Institute for Continuing Judicial Education, which is a resource consortium of the Georgia Judicial Branch, the State Bar of Georgia, and the ABA accredited law schools of the State.

LOCATIONS

In the United States, our trainings take place at locations in Georgia, a state with a diverse population and a global economic base in the southeastern part of the country.

Primary sites are Athens, home to the state’s flagship research institution, the University of Georgia, and Atlanta, the capital city and a U.S. trade hub served by HartsfieldJackson International airport. Please contact us if you would are interested in partnering with us to organize a training outside of the United States.
