A string light photography collection

String light photography is a popular aesthetic when it comes to fall and winter photography. I personally love string lights— I have them all over my apartment, and I am a fan with how simple yet pretty they are in creating a warm glow and cozy feel to any room.

When doing creative portraiture, so many artists use string lights in their work and create such wonderful and beautiful images. The key to the success of these compositions lies within the lighting, setting, and subject. A dim, yet not entirely darkened environment keeps the subject recognizable and clear, while at the same time also boosting the warm glow of the string light accessory. This balance is the key to maintaining well-composed final products from these photoshoots.

I decided to do a creative string light shoot myself with a colorful, and creative twist. Using Rice Box (the Asian fusion restaurant with the popular neon lights and urban aesthetic vibes) as the setting, and a regular battery operated string light tail from Walmart, I did a mini-photoshoot. By the looks of these final photos, I guess you can say we had some pretty great results.
