MARCH
Unbound Houston Thursday, March 4, 2021 2 p.m. Online via Zoom Topic of Discussion Unbound Houston exists to equip and empower our local community to engage and respond to human trafficking and exploitation. By understanding how trafficking occurs in our community, how traffickers operate, and the impact of victimization on survivors, we can rally together to create a community where trafficking is obliterated and all forms of exploitation are met with justice. The scourge of exploitation reaches to all areas of society, and college campuses are no exception. We hope to enlighten and empower University of Houston-Clear Lake to defend their own and equip them to extend their hand to the vulnerable in our community
Presenter Ms. Christa Mayfield, Director of Education, Unbound Houston

Thursday, April 8, 2021 2 p.m. Online via Zoom Topic of Discussion Astronauts undertaking missions to deep space destinations like the Moon and Mars will face a number of challenges caused by the vast distances and durations involved in these journeys. Andrzej Stewart, who has served as a crewmember for simulated space missions in the HERA and HI-SEAS analogs, will talk about what life is like as part of an analog crew, as well as what life may be like for astronauts living on Mars in the future.
