MAKE A SMOOTH TRANSITION UHCL Transfer Advisors are committed to providing a seamless transition for our transfer students. Meet with a transfer advisor today to plan out your pathway to transfer and verify how your courses from other institutions may apply toward your chosen UHCL major. A Growing Campus In 2018, UHCL opened two new buildings that provide expanded opportunities for Hawks. Students meet their wellness goals with intramural sports, an indoor track and basketball courts in the Recreation and Wellness Center. In the STEM and Classroom Building, students gain first-hand training in new state-of-the-art labs for mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry and more. A residence hall is scheduled to open in fall 2019, while the Health Sciences and Classroom Building is scheduled to open in spring 2019 at UHCL Pearland.

DEFINE YOUR PATH With more than 45 undergraduate degree programs, you have several paths to explore your interests and define your career goals so that you graduate with valuable experience. With more than 20 research centers and institutes, you have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty on innovative research to improve the world. UHCL Hawks are working to fortify human cells against cancer, improve safety for industrial employees and educate young minds about cybersecurity. Education has taken UHCL Hawks around the world to places like Oman to study different cultures and to the nation’s capital to work in the Library of Congress. Many courses incorporate community service into your learning experience so that you gain new perspectives and sharpen your leadership skills. UHCL Pearland offers career-building education opportunities taught by instructors who are leaders in their field. Our master's and bachelor's degree programs have an emphasis in business, nursing, criminology, education and behavioral sciences. Program subjects are available to junior, senior and graduate-level students.

STUDENT LIFE Transitioning to a new environment can be a big adjustment, but there’s no doubt you will find your place at UHCL. Join an inclusive community with year-round programs that showcase many forms of diversity and create an enriching student experience. With more than 90 student organizations on campus, you’ll discover new ways to get involved in organizations like Volleyball Club, Social Justice Organization and the American Marketing Association. RESIDENCE LIFE The best way to get the most out of your student experience is to live it. With more than 25 years of offering on-campus housing, we know what it takes to make UHCL your home.

The Recreation and Wellness Center is more than just a place to exercise, it’s your chance to form new friendships and pursue new interests. The Rec Center is home to campus activities like Welcome Back Bash, intramural sports games and more.

UHCL’s first on-campus residence hall is opening in fall 2019. You’ll be steps away from campus resources and have a modern and stylish place to relax and recharge while you pursue your education. University Forest Apartments (UFA) offers fully-equipped apartment-style floor plans and comfortable amenities so that you gain a sense of independence.
