3. Meet with Us!

hawaii.edu/username Create your MYUH account so we can stay in touch with you. You must first create your UH username (click “Get A UH Username”) and then follow directions prompted on the website. Your UH Username account gives you access to the following: • • •

2. Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships

Gain insight and a first-hand Mānoa experience by visiting with us at an event or on a guided campus tour with our very own Rainbow Warrior students. Tours are guided by our students with an introductory information session hosted by an Admissions Counselor. Visiting from out of town? Before you become an official Rainbow Warrior, you must submit your final documents to the Office of Admissions:

Fall Priority Deadline: May 1 Spring Only: Application available in November

• Final official high school and/or college transcripts (with graduation date and final grades) • Official SAT/ACT test scores

If you are interested in living on campus, you must submit the housing application. To begin the application process, you will need the following: • UH ID Number (found on your acceptance letter) • MyUH email account (see checklist item #1, “Create your MyUH Account”) • $25 non-refundable application fee Applications for student housing will be available in January for Fall and in November for Spring only. Housing assignments are sent to your MyUH email account. Please note: After your application is complete, a housing contract will be delivered to your MyUH email account. • A $400 housing deposit must be submitted to the Student Housing office by the date specified in your contract offer • Your housing contract will provide details on deposit payment, type of room, and name of your residential hall Unfortunately, if you do not send the housing deposit by the deadline indicated on your contract, Student Housing will cancel your contract so they can assign your space to another student. It is critical that you check your MyUH email account!

Meal Plans You are required to purchase a meal plan each semester if you live in Hale Anuenue, Frear Hall, Gateway House, Hale Aloha Towers, Johnson Hall, Hale Kahawai, and Hale Laulima. You are automatically enrolled in the “Select 10,” a 10-meal per week plan that can be changed should you want more meals per week. If you are a commuter student or a student in the on-campus apartments, you do not have to purchase a meal plan, but do have the option if you choose.

You are required to submit official documents (transcripts, test scores). A document is considered official only if it is sent directly by the issuing high school, college, or testing agency to the Office of Admissions via postal mail or email.

Every Warrior’s journey has a path. Create your class schedule and register for classes online through our standard registration system called STAR GPS. STAR GPS guides students to timely graduation by combining student history with their academic program information, creating a graduation pathway. Your registration appointment time will be assigned to you and can be found in MyUH Services ( myuh.hawaii.edu ). Incoming Freshman: There is also the option to register for your classes through a First-Year Program called ACE. These are learning communities and grouped classes based on your major, experienced alongside 15 other students. Your class meets weekly to go over college success skills, promoting a smooth transition from high school to college. This is a great way to complete your college years in four, while also alongside new friends! To learn more about ACE and First-Year Programs, visit: manoa.hawaii.edu/undergrad/freshman

Payment deadlines depend on when you register for classes. The Office of Registrar will post the deadlines online once they are available: manoa.hawaii.edu/records/pay_deadlines.html The University offers a number of ways for you to pay your bill. Payments are accepted online, by mail, or in person. You may pay your bill online through MyUH Services ( myuh.hawaii.edu ). Search for or click on “Pay Tuition and Fees.” If you have applied for financial aid, and received an award, it will be reflected on your account.

Payment Plans myuh.hawaii.edu The University offers you the option to pay your bill in one payment or through installments using a payment plan. Payment plans are only available for fall and spring terms and are not available for summer terms. The cost to sign up is a non-refundable, per-semester fee of $30 per plan. You may sign-up for a payment plan online. Search for or click on “Enroll in Payment Plan.”

Bachelor Degree Program Sheets manoa.hawaii.edu/ovcaa/programsheets A program sheet is a guide used to determine what courses you will need to take in order to earn your degree. It’s an advising tool for students throughout their academic journey. To ensure proper progress you will need to meet with your academic advisor regularly.

We want to make sure all of our Rainbow Warriors are in fighting shape. Please submit your health clearance form to University Health Services, which can be found online at: hawaii.edu/shs/health_clearance. All students must complete the tuberculosis requirement to begin classes and students living in on-campus housing must submit clearance form prior to move in. Health Clearance Requirements: • Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance: Complete the TB Risk Assessment Form and have signed by your U.S. licensed healthcare provider. Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) Immunizations - Two doses of the Measles vaccine and at least one dose of the MRR is required for students born after 1957. Complete the MMR Form and have signed by your U.S. licensed healthcare provider. • International Students: You must receive a tuberculin skin test or chest x-ray from a U.S. licensed healthcare provider (M.D., D.O., A.P.R.N., or P.A.). The U.S. licensed healthcare practitioner must document the state he/she is licensed and license number. When you arrive in Honolulu, you may take a skin test at the University Health Services, the Hawaii State Department of Health, or at a physician’s office. If your test results are positive, a chest X-ray is required.

We offer a variety of options to help you transition into the Rainbow Warrior way during the “Week of Welcome” (Wow). Our teams are busy planning an “UHM-azing” orientation experience for you and more information about these programs will be communicated through your MyUH email account. You may also visit manoa.hawaii.edu/welinamanoa for more information. Living on campus? If you are living in the residence halls, they will have orientation type activities for you to participate in as well. Please check the Mānoa move-in website (when available) for information on your move-in dates.
