As a first-year or transfer student from Idaho with a strong GPA, you may qualify for our Go Idaho! program, meaning you’ll receive a guaranteed amount of funding through a combination of U of I scholarships.

WUE
We’ve got WUE! Qualifying Western Undergraduate Exchange students pay 150% of in state tuition – a savings of nearly $16,000 per year. No additional application required, renewable for four years with qualifying GPA. Both transfer and first-time students are eligible for WUE.
WUE Scholars
With this program, qualified first-time first-year applicants may be eligible for up to an additional $2,000 scholarship per year.
That’s an additional $2,000 on top of U of I’s existing WUE savings of nearly $16,000 per year.

Out of State or International
For incoming students not from Idaho or WUE states, you may qualify for the Invitation to Idaho program. This program will save you nearly $16,000 per year. No additional application required, renewable for four years with qualifying GPA, available to new first-year students with a high school GPA of at least 3.0, or to new transfer students with a cumulative college GPA of at least 3.0.

In the College of Art and Architecture’s Design-Build Program, you’ll be involved in a construction project from conception to construction. Students are working to address the critical shortage of local affordable housing by designing and building small houses in collaboration with the Moscow Affordable Housing Trust.

A project to explore Saturn’s moon Titan with a robotic rotorcraft envisioned by a University of Idaho researcher has been selected by NASA for launch. Named for its insect shape, Dragonfly is set to leave Earth in 2025 and arrive at Titan in December 2034.
U of I’s annual Borah Symposium, which has been held every year since 1948, features global problem solvers who offer new ideas for overcoming obstacles to world peace. The 2024 symposium theme is “Peace and Security in the 21st Century.”
