Opening Highlights Auxiliary Services has been very busy over the last few months in preparation for the start of fall semester. We had a great week welcoming back students to campus and getting them acquainted with University of Idaho life. Below are specific unit highlights:

> Housing & Residence Life welcomed roughly 1,780 students to the residence halls during move-in day with the help of over 150 volunteers. The event included campus partners, athletics, Moscow businesses, and games to make students' arrival fun and engaging. > VandalStore has been busy selling books and preparing students for the start of classes, marking a 3% increase in sales year to date. > Vandals Dining opened their operation for the fall semester with updates and new formats, including Chick-fil-A! In addition, Dining has already completed 115 catering events over the past few weeks focused on opening events, orientation, and staff gatherings.

Staff Updates Welcome to the Team
Lisa Miller Auxiliary Services is excited to welcome Lisa to the financial team in her role as Auxiliary Services Accountant. Lisa is busy assisting with the dining contract, developing reports, and supporting financial operations of all the Auxiliary units. Lisa previously worked in UI Payroll and is very active in the UI community as Staff Council Vice Chair. Welcome Lisa!
Kevin Maines Kevin has been managing Vandals Dining Retail Operations for 5 years and has moved into a new role as Campus Director of Operations, where he will oversee all campus dining operations including residential Dining. We are excited for Kevin's continued leadership.
Ben Dewberry Vandals Dining is excited to welcome Ben to the team as Catering Manager. Ben comes from California with over 40 years' experience as a Certified Executive Chef. We are already impressed with Ben's hands on approach and can't wait for the year ahead.

Upcoming Events UI Engagement Fan Zone Beginning September 3rd, the UI launched the Idaho Fan Zone for a new game-day experience including live music, great food, and Vandal gear sales in a 16,000 sq ft event space. The VandalStore, Vandals Dining, and ResNet were excitedly involved in the opening as they prepared for clothing and food sales during the first game of the season.
MapWorks Housing & Residence Life has been using MapWorks for 7 years as a retention initiative. MapWorks is a first-year risk predictor that alerts staff of students that may be at risk of being unsuccessful at UI. With Housing's assistance, the University is adopting MapWorks for all first-year students and many staff across campus will be involved in helping all first-year students succeed.
UI Golf Tournament 2nd Annual Course Improvement Tournament: 4 Person Scramble Sunday, September 13th at 8:30am University of Idaho Golf Course All proceeds help with capital improvements to the facilities that assist the UI Men's and Women's golf teams and the PGA Golf Management Program.
