liveWELL IN THE STRATEGIC PLAN Holistic Well-Being and Success is one of the five priorities in UI’s 2027 Strategic Plan. liveWELL’s goal is to provide comprehensive support for individuals throughout their relationship with the university, beginning by attracting and retaining talented faculty and staff who will contribute to a thriving university community.

WELLNESS GRANTS The University of Iowa actively supports and promotes a culture of health and well-being for all campus community members. By providing grant funds directly to departments for activities that promote physical and emotional health and well-being, liveWELL aims to make practicing healthy habits in the workplace the easy choice. The UI Strategic Plan 2022-2027 calls to “embed well-being and mental health into all aspects of campus culture.” The Health & Well-Being Fair offers faculty and staff the opportunity to connect with campus resources that support personal and organizational health. 1,000 faculty/staff attendees 97% learned about a new program or service offered at UI
In 2023, liveWELL awarded 36 Wellness Grants supporting a healthy campus culture. The implemented Wellness Grants impacted 1,073 UI Employees in 10 unique departments.
