he UIM President Dr. Raffaele Chiulli received the Vermillion Medal for Physical Education and Sports, the highest sport honor, by HSH Prince Albert of Monaco at a ceremony held at the Minister of State Palace during the celebrations of Monaco's National Day. The medal was established in 1939 and is awarded to individuals who contributed to the development of physical education and sports through their remarkable achievements in sports arenas.

DIE RACER FEIERTEN IHRE SIEGER IN MONACO

onaco steht gleichbedeutend für Motorsport, deshalb liess es sich Fürst Albert II. nicht nehmen, die Gala-Veranstaltung zusammen mit UIM-Präsident Dr. Raffaele Chiulli und Generalsekretär Andrea Dini vor rund 500 Anwesenden feierlich zu eröffnen. Geehrt wurden 75 Piloten und Crewmitglieder der siegreichen Teams aus 30 Nationen mit 47 Weltmeistertiteln. Sportlicher Abräumer des Abends war das Team Katar, das sich dank den Siegen seines Fahrers Alex Carella den Titel in der Königsklasse der F1 holte. Der italienische Champion fährt unter der Flagge des Emirates, auch die OffshoreSieger kommen aus den Emiraten. In der Class 1 wurde Arif Al Zaffain-Mohammed Al Marri ausgezeichnet, der in der aufstrebenden XCAT-Klasse nochmals auf der Bühne stand, diesmal zusammen mit Bin Hendi. Weitere Piloten aus aller Herren Länder bekamen verschiedene Auszeichnungen: Russland, die baltischen Staaten, Deutschland, Italien, Frankreich, Grossbritannien, Südafrika, Neuseeland, Schweden, Finnland und viele mehr. Hier wird deutlich, wie weltumspannend der Motorsport geworden ist und was für globale Märkte davon profitieren.

Bereits zum fünften Mal ehrte und feierte Anfang März 2014 der Motorbootweltverband UIM (Union International Motonautique) seine Weltmeister bei der UIM Awards Giving Gala im Salle des Etoiles in Monte Carlo.

Die Auszeichnung “Stefano Casiraghi Memorial Trophy” ging an Prinzessin Anne von England, Präsidentin der Royal Yachting Association, die mit der UIM für die Entwicklung des Motorbootsports zusammenarbeitet. Der Preis für die Sicherheit erhielten die Rettungstaucher der Bergamo Scuba Angels, die während der Wettkämpfe im Einsatz sind. Natürlich fährt auch bei den Rennbooten immer das Risiko mit. Ebenso klar, dass sich Umweltverträglichkeit und Motorsport nicht sehr nahe sind. Aber die UIM arbeitet daran, dass sich das in Zukunft bessert.

Mit dem Environmental Award werden seit 2009 Firmen prämiert und motiviert, sich verstärkt für umweltfreundliche Lösungen zu engagieren. Der Preis ging dieses Jahr an die von Sergio Cutolo konzipierte italienische

Hybrid-Yacht 40S, die von Columbus Yachts Palumbo gebaut wird. Auf der jüngsten Monaco Yacht Show präsentiert, ist sie die erste Yacht, der die Klassifizierung “Green Star Plus Platin” vergeben wurde. Die 40Meter-Superyacht fällt durch ihre sehr innovative Ästhetik auf und wird durch ein Hybridsystem angetrieben, das Diesel und Elektro kombiniert. Das neue System zeichnet sich durch einen höheren Wirkungsgrad aus und kann auf Batterien verzichten. Hervorgehoben wurden auch die von VSY erstmals in der Yachtindustrie eingesetzten Kontrollprozesse in ökologischer und nachhaltiger Form. Und Azimut Benetti erhielt für die Einführung von zertifizierten Verfahren in den Bereichen Gesundheit und Sicherheit seiner Mitarbeiter in all seinen elf Produktionsstandorten eine besondere Erwähnung. Schliesslich wurde dem niederländischen V20 Solarboot die “Greening Sport Special Mention” zugesprochen. Der OneDesign-Racer kann dank seiner hydrodynamischen Foils und verbesserter Aerodynamik als Vorreiter für das Rennboot der Zukunft gelten.

ok Florjancic, a legend in freestyle jet-skiing, performs spectacular stunts in the waves. Originally started by a handful of enthusiasts, this extreme version of jet-skiing has become a professional sport in just ten years. Today the rider competes in tournaments around the globe and has just won the title of world champion, awarded by the UIM, the international powerboat racing association, which is headquartered in Monaco. So what makes this acrobat get on his supercharged aquabike? Freedom, fun, and the sea.

CATCHING SIX METRES OF AIR “I’m a motorsports fan, like a lot of men,” laughs Rok. “When I was a kid I got into motocross, then I fell in love with jet-skiing.” In a few short years, the young Slovenian has risen to the top of his sport. But the 28-year-old rider is more than just a speed junkie. He needs freestyle to express himself: “I get the biggest adrenalin rush when I invent new tricks. There are no limits, it’s awesome.” From simply jumping the waves to catching over six metres of air, freestyle offers a wide range of moves. Rok specialises in barrel rolls, spins and back flips, along with extreme tricks borrowed from freestyle motocross such as the ‘Superman’. Each championship is a great opportunity to demonstrate new variations, and Rok has invented several tricks including the ‘Helicopter’, a 360° aerial spin, and his trademark ‘Rok ’n’ Roll’, a crazy combo of jumps. THE GOAL: DON’T GET THROWN OFF “You’ve got to give 100% in each competition,” says the rider. “You’re driven by the will to win, to prove to the world that you're the best. That’s what pushes you to outperform yourself.” It takes years of practice to get to this level. Freestyle jet-skiing requires incredible balancing skills and complete control of the machine. The challenge? Never to get thrown off, despite the blistering acceleration speeds. For Rok Florjancic, the sport is a family affair: “I started out with my dad, Ivan. Now I train with my brother, Nac. We compete for the top places in the championships and create new routines together.” More than a top-flight sport, freestyle jet-skiing is also entertainment. “Some of the best moments are when you put on a show for the public. It’s a total buzz!”. ¬

Pratiquée au départ par une poignée de passionnés, cette version extrême du jet-ski s’est professionnalisée en dix ans. Aujourd’hui, le rider parcourt les compétitions à travers le globe et vient de décrocher le titre de champion du monde décerné par l’UIM, l’Union Internationale Motonautique, dont le siège se situe à Monaco. Ce qui pousse cet acrobate à enfourcher son bolide ? La liberté, le fun, la mer.

À six mètres de hauteur « Je suis fan de sports mécaniques comme beaucoup d’hommes, s’amuse Rok. Quand j’étais enfant, j’ai commencé par le moto-cross et puis j’ai eu un véritable coup de foudre pour le jet-ski. » En quelques années, le jeune Slovène est devenu l’un des meilleurs dans sa discipline. Ce rider de 28 ans adore la vitesse, mais pas seulement. Il a besoin du freestyle pour s’exprimer : « Ce qui me procure le plus d’adrénaline, c’est quand je crée de nouvelles figures. Il n’y a pas de limite, c’est bluffant. » Du simple jump sur les vagues au saut de plus de 6 mètres de hauteur, le freestyle offre un répertoire d’une grande diversité. Rok enchaîne les vrilles, les rotations et backflips. Il exécute des figures extrêmes issues du saut à moto comme le « Superman ». Chaque championnat est l’occasion de proposer de nouvelles variantes. Notre sportif a d’ailleurs inventé plusieurs figures comme l’« Helicopter », un tour aérien de 360°, ou le « Rok’n’Roll », une combinaison de sauts endiablés. Ne jamais être désarçonné « Il faut se donner à 100 % pour chaque compétition, s’enthousiasme le rider. On est porté par l’envie de gagner, de prouver à tout le monde qu’on est le meilleur. Cela nous permet de nous dépasser. » Avant d’arriver à ce niveau, il faut des années de pratique. Le jet-ski freestyle requiert de grandes qualités d’équilibre et une maîtrise totale de la machine. L’enjeu ? Ne jamais se faire désarçonner, malgré des accélérations fulgurantes. Et chez les Florjancic, le sport est une histoire de famille : « J’ai débuté avec mon père Ivan. Aujourd’hui, je m’entraîne avec mon frère Nac. On se dispute les premières places dans les championnats et on crée nos chorégraphies ensemble. » En plus d’être un sport de haut niveau, le jet-ski freestyle est aussi un spectacle. Et l’acrobate de conclure : « L’un des meilleurs moments, c’est quand on réalise des shows devant le public. C’est juste grisant ! ». ¬

Uim Awards Giving Gala Il Principato di Monaco ha ospitato la V edizione del Uim Awards Giving Gala, l’appuntamento dedicato dalla Uim alla premiazione dei campioni del mondodella motonautica e all’Environmental Award,riconoscimento alle aziende che si sono distintenello sviluppo tecnologico per un miglioramento nell’impatto ambientale delle imbarcazioni da diporto di Angelo Colombo

campioni mondiali di tutte le classi della motonautica sono stati premiati nel corso del Galà loro dedicato dall’Union International Motonautique, il cui quartier generale è proprio nel Principato. Come accade da qualche

tempo numerosi premi sono stati assegnati soprattutto ai piloti russi e delle repubbliche baltiche vere fucine di campioni soprattutto a livello giovanile e nelle classi “piccole”. Nelle classi maggiori sono invece i piloti degli Emirati del Golfo Persico a farla da padroni. L’Environmental Award 2014 è stato assegnato al Columbus Yachts 40S Hybrid per i suoi contenuti tecnologici tra cui l’adozione della propulsione ibrida e lo sviluppo di linee d’acqua particolarmente efficienti, da cui derivano prestazioni elevate, consumi e impatto ambientale particolarmente contenuti. Le tre menzioni speciali sono state dedicate ad Azimut Yachts per la qualità e la sicurezza che ha saputo sinora esprimere negli ambienti produttivi, i quali hanno recentemente ottenuto dal Rina il Technical Committee for Safety il certificato

OHSAS 18001:2007 per il cantiere di Livorno. Altra menzione è stata dedicata a Viareggio Superyacht per lo sviluppo tecnologico espresso nella progettazione e costruzione di navi da diporto e in particolare a tutto il processo che da un tavolo da disegno porta al varo. Tale obiettivo è stato raggiunto anche grazie alla collaborazione del cantiere con l’Università di Bologna, con la quale ha collaborato attivamente allo sviluppo di un sistema di Computational Sustainability capace di convogliare un’elevata quantità di informazioni provenienti da diversi ambiti di ricerca tutti interessati allo sviluppo di un progetto o di una parte di esso, con l’obiettivo di raggiungere sempre nuovi orizzonti nell’innovazione formale e funzionale delle navi da diporto. La terza menzione speciale è stata dedicata allo studio di progettazione olandese Vripack, il quale si è distinto con la sua barca a propulsione elettrica – V20 Solar Boat, nei campi di gara dedicati a questa specifica disciplina. Il premio Uim a Vripack rappresenta innanzitutto un riconoscimento per i risultati ottenuti nella combinazione tra abbattimento delle resistenze idrodinamiche ottenute con la ricerca svolta da Vripack, lo sviluppo del suo scafo e l’elevata efficienza dei motori elettrici adottati. Raffaele Chiulli, presidente Uim, ha dichiarato: «Ci impegniamo sempre a perseguire l’obiettivo di ridurre l’impatto ambientale delle nostre gare e dei nostri eventi. Riteniamo sia la cosa giusta da fare e lo dimostra il forte legame tra il nostro sport e l’industria nautica, per questo ritengo il Uim Environmental Award un grande aiuto.La nostra cultura sulla responsabilità nei confronti dell’ambiente pone noi e l’industria nautica in una posizione di particolare attenzione nei confronti di molti aspetti quali per esempio, una maggiore efficienza in termini di consumo di carburante delle barche, maggiore efficienza energetica, riduzione degli scarichi e conservazione delle risorse. Guidati dai nostri principi di attenzione per l’ambiente, siamo impegnati nel preservare l’ambiente e nel conservare le risorse oltre che nel riciclaggio dei materiali. Noi continueremo ad essere attivamente coinvolti nell’educare l’industria e il pubblico su questi temi ambientali, e continueremo vigorosamente a perseguire lo sviluppo e l’implementazione delle tecnologie amiche dell’ambiente».

a motonautica è uno sport in grado di offrire immagini spettacolari che più delle parole riescono a emozionare senza barriere e filtri di alcun genere. Trasmettono esattamente il pathos e l’adrenalina che coinvolge macchine

e piloti. Le fotografie di questo servizio sono quelle più votate nella annuale Uim Photo Competition e sono il frutto del lavoro e della passione di alcuni tra i migliori professionisti a livello mondiale. Prima dell’era digitale, uno scatto ben fatto, durante una gara di motonautica, era un’alta espressione di capacità tecnica, vero talento e soprattutto unico strumento per raccontare gesta in qualche caso epiche. Quando le imbarcazioni lasciavano i marina per le lunghe traversate offshore era tutto

un’immaginarsi di azioni e di emozioni grazie solo alle informazioni che giungevano via radio. Poi, dopo il dovuto sviluppo e stampa, alle foto andava l’onore di concretizzare e visualizzare tutto ciò che era stato raccontato e solo immaginato. Per i fortunati spettatori le imbarcazioni sono state per lunghi attimi solo dei puntini bianchi all’orizzonte, poi delle scie che diventavano sempre più grandi per poi sfrecciarti davanti in un attimo……accompagnate dalla “musica” di roboanti e potenti motorizzazioni. Sembra un paradosso ma la motonautica era lo sport più seguito all’epoca in cui era epico e talvolta eroico, piuttosto che ora dove di epico ed eroico c’è rimasto non molto e le “go-pro” sono disseminate ovunque. “Sognare” le gesta di coloro che sfidavano il mare, talvolta anche aristocratici gentlemen driver, era un grande catalizzatore….un potente “strumento di marketing”.

Oggi il mondo dei media, del marketing e lo sport stesso si sono evoluti e questo ha certamente condizionato il mercato e la passione per questo sport e per la sua stessa popolarità. La motonautica sta vivendo un momento molto complesso, una sfida enorme per tornare ad avere e riacquisire il giusto spazio che le apparteneva fino a pochi anni fa. Malgrado tutto questo la motonautica è ancora sport globale. La Uim conta oltre 50 Federazioni Nazionali ed assegna ben oltre cinquanta titoli tra continentali e mondiali. Le gare titolate in un stagione sono a tre cifre a dimostrazione di una grande attività internazionale. Certo alcune categorie stanno soffrendo per la necessità di riallineamento al mercato, dove il valore economico di ogni evento deve rispondere a precisi parametri di domanda/offerta. Il tempo dorato, fatto di facili 106

sponsorizzazioni è tramontato ed è necessaria una evoluzione dello sport. Discipline come la Moto Gp, la Formula 1, la stessa Vela sono radicalmente cambiate in pochi anni e si sono date regole nuove e mirate ad un adeguato e controllato sviluppo tecnico ed al relativo contenimento dei costi. Il momento è giunto anche per la motonautica. Questo non significa snaturare lo sport ma modificarne i parametri. Oggi sono fondamentali la sicurezza, il rispetto dell’ ambiente e anche la accessibilità e praticabilità dello sport stesso. La concorrenza è forte. In pochi anni discipline giovani come il wakeboard o il kitesurf hanno avuto uno sviluppo enorme grazie proprio all’essere giusti contenitori dei principi e parametri fondamentali richiesti dal mercato. Il processo di cambiamento è ormai iniziato e un passo fondamentale per la

motonautica è stato certamente quello di entrare a far parte della importante famiglia Olimpica. Raffaele Chiulli, presidente UIM dal 2007, è stato eletto nel 2013 Presidente di Arisf, l’associazione delle Federazioni olimpiche riconosciute dal Cio, ed è board member di Sport Accord. Quest’ultima conta quasi 100 federazioni internazionali. Un passo importante che ha richiesto alla motonautica di allinearsi ai principali standard e requisiti tra i quali l’adozione del codice etico, l’implementazione del codice Wada per l’antidoping, il rispetto dell’ambiente, lo sviluppo dell’attività giovanile e il maggior coinvolgimento femminile nella gestione dello sport. Tutto ciò le ha portato molto in termini di valori sportivi ma ha anche richiesto molto ad uno sport che per anni ha vissuto di tanta “romantica passione”. Il lavoro da fare è ancora molto, soprattutto rispetto allo sviluppo tecnico delle principali discipline come Offshore, Diporto ed Aquabike. La necessità di divenire una vera espressione del grande comparto nautico è ormai primaria ed il mercato stesso lo ha richiesto e stimolato. Ma poi sarà soprattutto la passione di chi lo sport lo pratica veramente che imprimerà la svolta decisiva verso la motonautica del futuro che certamente sarà fatta di mezzi più economici, tecnologicamente evoluti, più design ed environmentally friendly. Quello che certamente continuerà a caratterizzare lo sport motonautico saranno però sempre le splendide immagini e foto che continueranno a raccontarlo ed a stimolare sogni ed immaginazioni di lettori, telespettatori e…..social media users. 108

UIM награждает чемпионов Андрей Великанов !Так уж повелось, что ежегодно в начале марта в отеле Monte Carlo Bay Resort (Монако) Международная федерация водно-моторного спорта чествует победителей многочисленных соревнований, прошедших на всех континентах нашей планеты. В этот раз на данное помпезное мероприятие собралось почти полтысячи гостей из 40 стран мира. Главную партию тут, конечно, играли президент UIM Рафаэль Кьюлли (Raffaelle Chiulli, был чрезвычайно заметен) и его Светлейшее Высочество князь Монако Альберт II (практически не был виден).

о прежде чем перейти к подробному описанию этого грандиозного спектакля, давайте вспомним, что такое UIM и почему главные события года происходят именно в Монако – на крошечном скалистом клочке земли на границе Франции и Италии. Международный водно-моторный союз (Union Internationale Motonautique, UIM)был зарегистрирован в 1922 году в Бельгии, а пятью годами позже в него уже входило 11 государств (Бельгия, Франция, Германия, Великобритания, Голландия, Польша, Норвегия, Швеция, Монако, Аргентина и США). Эта федерация считается старейшей на Земле из аналогичных моторных общественных организаций. В 1986 году штаб-квартира UIM переехала из бельгийского Гента в Монако. Федерация водно-моторного спорта СССР вступила в UIM в 1964 году и с тех пор активно принимает участие в деятельности этого союза. Действующий президент UIM – итальянец Рафаэль Кьюлли – был избран в 2007 году, кроме того он еще возглавляет ARISF (ассоциация спортивных федераций, их сегодня 34, признанных Международным олимпийским комитетом). И это президентское «дуо» было хорошо заметно из его приветственных речей – порою казалось, что к водно-моторному спорту они имеют весьма далекое отношение. Под заботливым оком UIM находятся следующие спортивные дисциплины: кольцевые гонки, аквабайк, гонки offshore, навигационные состязания, соревнования радиоуправляемых моделей. Находясь на территории Монако, UIM просто не мог обойти вниманием экологические вопросы (Альберт II

уделяет особое внимание проблемам сохранения окружающей среды), и несколько лет назад организация подписала договор о сотрудничестве с UNEP (работает под эгидой ООН). Влияние данного соглашения ощущалось и в Монте-Карло, ведь кроме конкретных чемпионов здесь отмечали те компании, что активно продвигают идеи альтернативных источников энергии и внедряют в водно-моторную среду новейшие производственные технологии. Так, например, нынче главная «эконаграда» была присуждена яхте 40S Hybrid (Columbus Yachts),использующей гибридную пропульсивную систему (два дизельных стационара и один электромотор), позволяющую значи-

тельно экономить топливо, а значит наносить меньший урон окружающей среде (в английском языке для этого даже появился специальный термин – eco friendly). Также в этой номинации были отмечены Azimut Benetti Group (производственные технологии), VSY (инновации) и VRIPACK (применение альтернативных источников энергии). О последней фирме хочется сказать особо – тут впервые в мире был создан гоночный корпус (V20 Solar boat), способный «летать» только за счет использования солнечной энергии. Так в кольцевых гонках UIM образовался новый класс – V20 (правда, пока максимальные скорости здесь чуть выше 30 км/ч). По грубым подсчетам, на Земле сейчас не более 10 000

Гребной клуб Монако Андрей Великанов ! Принципат Монако протянулся всего на два километра вдоль Средиземного моря. Если смотреть на крошечное государство как раз таки с моря, то видишь застроенную разновеликими домами гору, две гавани и один песчаный пляж. Вдоль моря пройдешь это расстояние максимум за полчаса!

Кеннеди начинается практически от Монте-Карло (этот район еще называют «золотым квадратом княжества»), эта улица является и восточной стороной порта Монако, где стоимость годичного хранения «катера» начинается от 30 000 евро. Правда, многих местных жителей это не особо касается, и в члены престижного яхтенного клуба они совсем не стремятся. В этом клубе 1300 судовладельцев и, как говорят знатоки, если все члены разом пожелают экономические не-

приятности какому-то злобному монарху, то ему придется очень туго. В старом трехэтажном доме №5 по Кеннеди располагается Гребной клуб Монако. Первый этаж – раздевалки и мастерские, второй – ресторан, третий – офисные помещения и тренажерный зал. Ресторан – закрытого типа, его могут посещать только члены клуба, их родственники и знакомые. Гребцы это могут себе позволить, поскольку все издержки на содержание клуба покрываются из монаршей казны.

Клуб был организован в 1888 году, когда 12 монегасков решили создать «общество морских регат». До 1953 года в этой организации состояли и любители паруса. В прошлом году, в честь 125-летия, в Монако была выпущена специальная гребная почтовая марка. Естественно, что почетным президентом клуба является принц Альберт II, но всю текущую работу ведет на волонтерской основе пенсионер Джильберт Вивальди. Ему помогают еще несколько человек, только три

тренера по гребле получают ежемесячную зарплату, поскольку именно этот клуб представляет Монако на летних Олимпийских играх. Джильберт очень гордится, что на играх в Лондоне его спортсмен занял 18 место в одиночке распашной. Для страны с населением 8000 человек очень даже хороший результат. Сейчас в клубе состоит 220 человек возрастом от 11 до 84 лет. Многие из них участвуют в соревнованиях, их в

2014 году запланировано 22. Главные старты прошли в феврале – это турнир на призы Альберта II. В этом году они проводились в 10-й раз, тут были представители и от нашей страны – гребцы Динамо и ЦСК ВМФ. Интересно, что морская гребля очень развита на Средиземноморье и подобные клубы расположены совосем рядом – один в 6 км западнее во Франции, другой в 15 км восточнее, но уже в Италии.

В самое ближайшее время клуб переедет в новое здание, которое также строится на государственную копеечку. Ведь покровительницей Монако считается святая Девота, тело которой было доставлено сюда в лодке 27 января 304 года. В этот день в монархии проходит самый великий праздник, и в ее честь ежегодно княжеская семья сжигает рыбацкую лодку, из которой всегда вылетает белая голубка.

UIM AWARDS GIVING GALA Kada smo dobili poziv od prestižne organizacije Union International Motonautic da prisustvujemo UIM dodeli nagrada za najbolje trkače prethodne sezone, petoj po redu, rado smo se odazvali, te smo bili deo ove važne ceremonije koja je održana u Monte Karlu 1. marta

ako je na dan dolaska vreme bilo kišovito, sutradan je jutro nagovestilo lep dan, što nam je omogućilo da upoznamo Monako i njegov nezvanično glavni grad Monte Karlo. Oduševilo nas je jedno od najglamuroznijih mesta koje krase idealan spoj prijatne klime, visok stepen bezbednosti, nezagađene prirode, tri stotine sunčanih dana u godini, bogat noćni život i važna luka gde su usidrene bogate jahte slavnih. Dijamant Monaka - Monte Carlo jedan je od najbogatijih gradova u Evropi prepoznatljiv po svojim kazinima, luksuznim hotelima i ekstravagantnim automobilima. Prolazeći krivudavim i strmim ulicama na obroncima planine zapažamo lepotu prirode i istorijska zdanja. Kulturni sadržaj i zabava su bez konkurencije kada je u pitanju ovaj grad. Trke formula na vodi jedan su od najskupljih sportova pa ne čudi činjenica da se organizacija Union International Motonautic nalazi baš ovde. UIM (Međunarodna motonautička unija – Union Internationale Motonautique) kao internacionalno upravno telo u motonautici priznato je od strane internacionalnog olimpijskog komiteta. Osnovano je 1922. godine, a obuhvata sve powerboating (motonautičke) discipline.

Ova godina za UIM organizaciju je od izuzetnog značaja jer se bavi i veoma važnim pitanjem, a to je sigurnost takmičara. Nove tehnologije koje se koriste u proizvodnji takmičarskih plovila diktirane su ne samo od strane samih brodograditelja, već i novim pravilima o bezbednosti. Press konferencija održana je u Hotelu Monte Carlo Bay, uz prisustvo novinara iz celog sveta, a na svečanu dodelu „UIM Awards Giving Gala“ došla su sva najznačajnija svetska imena kada je motonautika u pitanju. - Na svečanoj dodeli nagrada u Monte Karlu prisustvovalo je 500 ljuPrince Albert II i Raffaele Chiulli predsednik UIM-a

REPORTAŽA di iz 42 različite zemlje, a imali smo tu čast da nam se na koktel prijemu pridruži princ Albert. Nagradili smo svetske šampione sezone 2013. u svim glavnim motonautičkim disciplinama: circuit racing, offshore racing, aquabike, junior racing i formula future. Veoma se ponosim time što sam kreirao ovu platformu za okupljanje energija iz svih tih sportova - izjavio je predsednik udruženja UIM, Raffaele Chiulli. Na dodeli nagrada nisu bili samo motonautički šampioni već i predsednici 13 internacionlanih svetskih sportskih federacija. Gospodin Chiulli ističe da sport predstavlja fantastično sredstvo koje ruši sve barijere, spaja ljude i povezuje sportiste iz različitih diciplina. Ovaj glamurozan događaj uveličao je i predsednik Federacije vodenih sportova Ujedinjenih Arapskih Emirata, Dr. Saeed Harib koji se još davne 1990. godine pridružio uniji. - UIM dodela nagrada je veoma važna, dodeljuje se specijalni trofej za bezbednost, što je danas kod trka je na prvom mestu. U suprotnom se gube životi. Današnji dan posebno je bitan kao prizanje za UAE i za sav naš trud i rad na unapređenju bezbednosti kokpita što direktno utiče na spašavanje života vozača unutar kokpita – smatra Saeed Harib. Na Gala večeri dodeljen je specijalni trofej njihovom krunskom princu šeiku Hamdanu bin Mohammedu, koji je snažan pobornik vodenih sportova i unapređenja bezbednosti na vodi. - Čeka nas svetla budućnost ukoliko budemo sledili pravila i propise, ukoliko lokalne federacije nastave da pokazuju zalaganje i ako postoji dobra komunikacija među njima. Vodeni sportovi su u krvi ljudima koji žive uz reke ili more. Mislim da je razumno očekivati da UIM napravi korak ka budućnosti, pogotovo ako se pridružimo Međunarodnoj motonautičkoj uniji i Olimpijskom komitetu – kaže princ šeik Hamdan. Pored nagarđenih trkača, dodeljene su i specijalne UIM nagrade ljudima, kompanijama, institucijama, istraživačkimm centrima za doprinos na polju razvoja, energetske efikasnosti i očuvanja životne sredine. Formula na vodi je veoma opasan sport ali danas zahvaljujući modernoj tehnologiji taj rizik je u velikoj meri smanjen. Bez obzira na opasnost, adrenalin i želja za uspehom u ovoj diciplini su pokretačka snaga svakog trkača. Sa samo 27 godina, Alex Carella iz Italije zabeležio je brojne uspehe. - Zacrtao sam sebi kao cilj da uspem u formuli 1. Trenutno sam nosilac tri uzastopne titule svetskog prvaka. Ako osvojim još jednu titulu, bio bih prvi na svetu kome je to četiri puta uzastopno pošlo za rukom. I zato se nadam da ću ove godine pružiti svoj maksimum da osvojim titulu, i tako ću nastaviti dalje – kaže Alex. Trke su ga odvele na puno lepih lokacija na svetu: Katar, Abu Dabi, Dubaji. Uživa kako u samoj trci, tako i u periodu nakon nje. Bart M. Bouwhuis i Marnix Hoekstra iz firme Vripack primili su nagradu za koncept V20 na solarni pogon, koji je nastao od potrebe za upotrebom obnovljivih izvora energije, za približavanjem tog koncepta mlađoj generaciji i stavljanje u prvi plan potencijala za očuvanje životne sredine. - Kombinacija tih ideja čini suštinu V20, koji je “one design” klasa, ali ostavljamo bez obzira na pravila hidrokrila i propeler. Stoga očekujemo da održimo brod “u letu”, kao i inovacije na propeleru. To su naši planovi za budućnost. Aspekat bezbednosti podrazumeva da se svi članovi posade vrate kući sigurni i bezbedni, a važno je i da se lepo provedu. Eto, bezbednost je kombinacija ta dva elementa – tvrde Bart i Marnix. Jedan od nagrađenih bio je i Rok Florjančić kome je u početku ovaj sport hobi, a samo nekoliko godina kasnije uz veliku upornost i entuzijazam dobija nagradu u kategoriji Aqva Bike Class Pro Free style. Veče je upotpunio bogat muzički program, a završilo se velikim slavljem i zadovoljnim osmesima svih prisutnih. Svi u motonautičkoj uniji pripadaju jednoj velikoj familiji u kojoj je svakodnevno prisutna međusobna podrška. Monte Karlo je svakako destinacija koja nam je 1. marta sve ovo predstavila na jednom mestu. Šampioni koji su nagrađeni za svoj trud, predanost i strast koju osećaju ka motonautičkom sportu, najbolji su ambasadori njegovih vrednosti.

Crown Prince of Dubai honoured at UIM awards in Monte Carlo 3 March 2014, Dubai – H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, was honoured at a glittering UIM awards ceremony over the weekend.

Accepting the award on his behalf was H.E Dr Saif Al Ketbi, President of the Dubaibased World Professional Powerboating Association (WPPA), while also part of the WPPA delegation were: Dr Khalid Al Zahed (Vice President of the WPPA), (Saeed Hareb (President, UAE Marine Sports Federation), Sid Bensalah (Secretary General of the WPPA), Mohammed Al Marri and Arif Al Zaffain (pilots of the 2013 UIM Skydive Dubai XCAT World Series winners, Fazza).

“This award is a reflection of the massive part that H.H Sheikh Hamdan and also the city of Dubai have played in the development and promotion of powerboating in recent years and it is a great honour to be recognised in this way,” explained Al Ketbi.

Nel corso della serata Azimut|Benetti Group è stato premiato per l’impegno a promuovere una cultura della sicurezza ambientale sui luoghi di lavoro a tutela dei lavoratori, con riferimento particolare alla certificazione ‘BS OHSAS 18001’ ottenuta dall’azienda lo scorso Dicembre 2013. Il Gruppo da sempre si distingue per le innovazioni introdotte a salvaguardia dell’ambiente e della sicurezza sul lavoro. La menzione ‘Environmental Benefit’ ricevuta è il coronamento del percorso che ha portato il Gruppo ad essere il primo ed unico cantiere navale al mondo ad aver conseguito la certificazione BS OHSAS 18001 per i suoi sei siti: Avigliana, Savona, Varazze, Viareggio, Livorno e Fano. 2013’, promossi dalla Union Internationale Motonautique con l’intenzione di riconoscere l’eccellenza nell’innovazione, nello sviluppo e nell’applicazione di tecnologie environmental friendly. Nel corso della serata Azimut|Benetti Group è stato premiato per l’impegno a promuovere una cultura della sicurezza ambientale sui luoghi di lavoro a tutela dei lavoratori, con riferimento particolare alla certificazione ‘BS OHSAS 18001’ ottenuta dall’azienda lo scorso Dicembre 2013. Il Gruppo da sempre si distingue per le innovazioni introdotte a salvaguardia dell’ambiente e della sicurezza sul lavoro. La menzione ‘Environmental Benefit’ ricevuta è il coronamento del percorso che ha portato il Gruppo ad essere il primo ed unico cantiere navale al mondo ad aver conseguito la certificazione BS OHSAS 18001 per i suoi sei siti: Avigliana, Savona, Varazze, Viareggio, Livorno e Fano. Yacht: tre premi al Columbus 40S Hybrid dei Cantieri Palumbo Holistic Design Award, Environmental Protection Award, Interior Design Award. I tre riconoscimenti che la giuria internazionale degli ShowBoats design Award 2014 ha assegnato allo yacht Columbus 40S Hybrid, progettato dallo Studio Hydro Tec (design esterno) e dallo Studio Hot Lab (progettazione degli interni), e realizzato dal cantiere Palumbo

Una raffica di premi per lo yacht design italiano. All’edizione 2014 degli ShowBoats Design Awards, che si è tenuta nei giorni scorsi allo Swarovski Crystal Worlds di Wattens (Austria) di fronte ad una platea internazionale composta da armatori, designer e rappresentanti dei più grandi cantieri navali del mondo chiamati a giudicare il design di più di 30 superyacht a motore, lo yacht Columbus 40S Hybrid, progettato dallo yacht designer Sergio Cutolo dello Studio Hydro Tec, ha ricevuto cinque nomination e si è aggiudicato tre riconoscimenti.

Più nel dettaglio, lo yacht Columbus 40S Hybrid – che era stato presentato lo scorso settembre al Salone di Montecarlo – è risultato vincitore nelle categorie Holistic Design Award (miglior design olistico), Environmental Protection Award (miglior progetto ecocompatibile), grazie alla sua innovativa propulsione ibrida e Interior Design Award (miglior design degli interni). Le nomination erano state avanzate anche per il migliore progetto tecnico e il miglior design degli esterni. Columbus 40S Hybrid, risultato della partnership fra il cantiere Palumbo, lo Studio Hydro Tec e lo Studio Hot Lab (progettazione degli interni) misura 39,83 m di lunghezza “fuori tutto”, e viene equipaggiato con due motori da 243 kW di potenza a 2.300 giri/min ciascuno, abbinati a due generatori da 60 kW ognuno, per una velocità massima di 22 nodi e una velocità di crociera di 15 nodi.

Principato di Monaco_ La Salle des Etoiles è stata la location scelta per la UIM Awards Giving, l’evento con il quale la Federazione Mondiale della Motonautica celebra i suoi campioni mondiali nelle tante categorie che compongono la galassia del powerboat racing. Il Principato è da sempre luogo di sport e di motori, non a caso vi ha sede l’Union Internationale Motonautique che il 1 marzo ha così reso omaggio con gli Awards alla nautica a motore durante una serata di gala che ha visto riunite oltre 500 persone da 30 nazioni tra piloti, sponsor, promoter e giornalisti, senza dimenticare l’importanza della cantieristica e dei designer nella ricerca verso soluzioni all’insegna della sostenibilità ambientale. Il Principe Alberto II di Monaco ha aperto la cerimonia alla presenza di Raffaele Chiulli, Presidente UIM, e il Segretario generale Andrea Dini, veri motori della Federazione, che hanno fatto gli onori di casa alla manifestazione, perfettamente organizzata. Sul piano sportivo, il Qatar ha conquistato l’alloro iridato in una delle classi regine, la F1H2O, grazie alle vittorie di Alex Carella, campione italiano che corre per la bandiera dell’Emirato. Sempre dagli Emirati provengono i campioni dell’offshore, sia in Class 1 con Arif Al Zaffain- Mohammed Al Marri che nella XCAT, classe in grande crescita, dove si è imposto lo stesso Al Zaffain ma questa volta in coppia con Bin Hendi. Ma le oltre 45 categorie premiate hanno visto salire sul palco piloti da molte altre nazioni: Russia, Repubbliche Baltiche, Germania, Italia, Francia, Regno Unito, Sudafrica, Nuova Zelanda, Svezia, Finlandia e l’elenco potrebbe continuare. Il premio alla memoria di Stefano Casiraghi è andato alla Principessa Anna d’Inghilterra, Presidente della Royal Yachting Association che collabora con UIM per lo sviluppo della motonautica. Il premio per la sicurezza è andato ai soccorritori subacquei della Bergamo Scuba Angels per il loro continuo impegno durante le competizioni. Tra gli ospiti chiamati a consegnare i premi anche il pilota ex F1 Ivan Capelli e il ciclista Mario Cipollini.

THE UIM WORLD CHAMPIONS AWARDS GIVING GALA The fifth UIM annual Gala was once again held in Monaco UIM F2 2013 World Champion Erik Stark with Alexandra Feher The fifth UIM World Champions Awards Giving Gala was held at the Salle des Etoiles in Monaco and celebrated the 2013 World Champions from various inshore and offshore disciplines that the UIM oversee across the world. Guest of honour Albert II, Prince of Monaco was joined by 452 people from 40 different countries. The coveted Stefano Casiraghi Memorial Trophy was awarded to the UK based RYA Powerboat Racing Department for their continued work to forward the sport, the trophy was received by Anne Robinson.

As entrants become more familiar with their digital equipment, so the standard of entries increases. For me, the biggest surprise was the strength of entries overall and particularly in the Aquabike section which demonstrates that the accessibility and excitement of this particularly spectacular UIM competition brings out the best in the photographers. This truly is an exciting and photogenic sport to enjoy and I hope that more photographers will take advantage of its accessibility and make some great images to enter in our 2014 season competition. New names were prevalent across the board with many new photographers submitting quality entries alongside the ‘Old Guard' and what I personally found very refreshing was the quality of ‘atmospheric' entries. Many images show the boats close up but to

President of the Union Internationale Mononautique (UIM), Raffaele Chiulli awarded H.H Sheikh Hamdan with a special trophy at the fifth UIM World Champions Awards Giving Gala at the prestigious Salle des Etoiles in Monaco in recognition of his incredible contribution to the sport of powerboating. The award – received by Daniele Maccioni, VSY Innovation Development Manager – recognizes the commitment of the Italian shipyard which has distinguished itself right from its inception for the development of technologies with reduced environmental impact and is increasingly imposing itself in the implementation of structured programs of integrated sustainability applied to innovation in the yachting industry. “VSY’s “Technologies and Innovations Worktable” – explained Vienna Eleuteri, Sustainability Manager of the shipyard, during the press conference – “is a Computational Sustainability model based program and has its focus on developing computational methods to be applied to our project and production processes. Computational Sustainability is an interdisciplinary field that aims to apply techniques from computer science, operations research, applied mathematics and statistics for balancing environmental, economic, and social needs for sustainable development. Presented in a worldwide première in September 2013 at the Monaco Yacht Show, Columbus 40S Hybrid superyacht is indeed the result of the collaboration among Palumbo Group, Hydro Tec Studio and Hot Lab Studio. Special Mention for "INNOVATION" to Volvo Penta Corporation The IPS transmission is characterized by a slender gear case with low hydrodynamic drag, while a power transmission with unique tooth profiles in high strength steel gears allows supreme load capability, thus limiting the physical size of gears and their housing, along with forward facing counter-rotating propellers with outstanding efficiency. The forward facing props enabled the development of an integrated exhaust system with low weight, back-pressure, and noise level. The total installed weight of the IPS system is substantially less compared to the traditional shaft system. Международная федерация водно-моторного спорта UIM наградила чемпионов мира 2013 года. Торжественная церемония и гала-вечер стали пятыми по счету в истории федерации. Впечатляющее по своему размаху мероприятие состоялось в Монако

в здании Salle des Etoiles, где чествовали чемпионов прошедшего сезона, ставших обладателями престижной награды UIM Awards 2013. Церемонию, на которой присутствовало около 500 человек, открыл его светлость принц Альберт Второй. В числе гостей были замечены высокопоставленные чиновники, звезды, VIP персоны и, конечно же, выдающиеся спортсмены. Награда UIM Safety Award имени его высочества шейха Хамдана бин Мохаммеда бин Рашида аль Мактума (Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum) досталась Bergamo Scuba Angels за вклад в развитие водно-моторного спорта.
