This colourful picture book gives parents the opportunity to talk about feelings and thoughts with their child. The large search-and-find pages, each depicting a specific emotion, provide the child with tools to express themselves.

About grief and how loss always remains a (small) part of you

A comforting and uplifting gift book that shows that all misfortune becomes bearable in the end
This is the story of a girl who got an unexpected visitor.
At her door there was someone with a package.
"This must be a mistake", she said. "I didn’t order anything."
The man pointed to a bunch of papers that had the girl’s name on it.
"Is that you?"
Yes, the girl nodded.
"Then this is for you", the man said. He pushed the package into her arms.
The package turns out to be an incredibly heavy boulder. The girl desperately tries to lose the boulder, but she discovers that she cannot. Along the way, she meets people who do not see the boulder or think it is not as heavy as it looks. But luckily, there are people who carry a boulder of their own and show her the way.
Kristien In-'t-Ven studied sociology and philosophy. She writes books about things that are on her mind, which is, more or less, knights, feminism, Belgium and grief. Zigzagging between fiction and journalism is what she likes best. Martha Verschaffel lives and works in Ghent. She has been working with stories for as long as she can remember. Her dark pencil drawings suggest the story rather than determine it. She finds her inspiration in movies, music, literature and her own dreams.

But I do not know for sure how I did it and if I can do it again. And maybe the most important question of all: can I help Helena, the new girl in class, with my gift?

Metamorphosis
About creepers, nymphs, emerging, unfolding, and changing animals
The animal kingdom is much richer than you think. Consider this: each butterfly species has four or five caterpillars, each of which looks different, and they all transform into a completely different pupa. Similarly, beetles, crabs, cockles, and frogs also undergo transformations throughout their lives.
In this book, you'll discover how a bald chick grows up to become a colourful parrot, and how a bare baby panda turns into a fluffy one. Besides growing up, many animals also change with the seasons, and some even within a split second. Nature is miraculous.
Come and explore with us.
Geert-Jan Roebers is a biologist and writer. He worked at the World Wildlife Fund as the editor-in-chief of the youth magazine TamTam. He has written several non-fiction books for young readers and has a Zilveren Griffel award to his name. Merlijne Marell has a strong preference for artisanal techniques and processes. Through her designs, she aims to share her sense of wonder and love for materials and nature with the public.

Packed with fun facts, quizzes, and lots of humour
Featuring large, colourful illustrations suited for the target age
Written by Mathilda Masters, author of the 321 Super Smart Things series

This book is full of fun plant projects that you can do on your own or together. Make an avocado pit take root, paint your own plant pot, make plants grow in bottles and learn how to repot indoor plants. All projects can be done all year round at home: you'll have a green thumb in no time!
Iris van Vliet is the most popular plant blogger of the Netherlands and Flanders. She shares her knowledge with all plant lovers, going by the name Mama Botanica. She is a bestselling author with four books to date about houseplants for plant enthusiasts.

About Gods and People
The most beautiful Greek myths retold
Suddenly, they appeared: humans. At first, they still climbed around in trees and were covered in hair. But soon after, they began walking in groups through tall grass, and seemed to have lost some of their hair.
Before long, they started clothing themselves in animal skins – thus starting to resemble the gods a little.
The gods were one big family, with Zeus as their leader, the supreme God. They lived on the top of Mount Olympus, where they had built several palaces. They held feasts, took walks, and carried out their divine tasks.
But suddenly, those humans turned up! They built temples and made various offerings. They also mastered fire, cleared forests, cultivated fields, and founded increasingly bigger cities; they swarmed the earth like ants.
Gradually, the gods began to realize that they were becoming less powerful than before – those humans could no longer be ignored...
Daan Remmerts de Vries is a successful author and illustrator. He writes for both children and adults. His work has been awarded several Gouden Penselen and Zilveren Penselen. In 2021, he received the Theo Thijssen Prize for children's and youth literature. Illustrator Douwe Dijkstra creates posters, album covers, and comics.

Gold
A shiny report of a quest
Travelling along the west coast of North America, Arend van Dam encountered various gold museums, ghost towns associated with gold, and shops selling equipment for finding gold. Suffering from a mild gold rush himself, he decided to embark on his own search and delved into the history of this precious metal.
Van Dam recounts stories about the gold of the Egyptians, the Incas, and the Aztecs. He looks for the deepest gold mine, the heaviest gold nugget, the largest gold theft, and the most remarkable uses of this noble metal. He takes his readers to Ghana, Australia, China, France, and even the Netherlands. And of course, he explores the legend of El Dorado. Additionally, he tells the story of scientists who still strive to achieve what ancient alchemists could not: create gold.
But the ultimate question remains: will the author succeed in finding gold himself?
Arend van Dam wrote his debut in 1989. Since then, he has written over 100 children’s books. He focuses on historical topics. Together with illustrator Alex de Wolf, he was awarded a Zilveren Griffel for his story book A Long Time Ago... (Lang geleden...) as well as for his much-appraised children's book The journey of Syntax Bosselman (De reis van Syntax Bosselman).
