COUNSELING INTERNS Jessica Mitchell – MA, LMFT Associate Focuses on relationships, communication and spirituality. Has experience with juveniles, mentally disabled persons and most importantly, with university student concerns.
She works part time as a semi-professional actress.
Tamara Kiss, MS, NCC, LPC – Intern NCMHCE
Sasha Wilhelm, MS, LBSW, LPC- Intern Sasha has a BA in Social Work and an MA in Counseling. Her focus is marriage and family therapy. Sasha has worked in social services, mental health treatment facilities and juvenile detention. Her educational specialty is in diagnostics. She enjoys bringing humor, creativity and pop culture into the counseling relationship.
She loves spending time with her family, cooking, road cycling and her two angels—dogs, Pearl and Spanky.
Tamara has a MS in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. She brings international experience and several years of working in settings such as private practice, substance abuse treatment facilities and military agencies. Tamara has worked with stress, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, relationship issues, life transitions and career counseling. She is Motivational Career Coach.
Tamara is enthusiastic, loves working with the university population and is passionate about traveling and learning about new cultures.
Anne Seay – MA, LPC Intern Anne Seay has completed her Masters degree in counseling at UTSA. She brings a positive, supportive focus to the counseling relationship. She has experience in family dynamics, stress management and eating disorders.
Anne loves being active and outdoors, her children and family in the mountains, at the beach–Well, just everywhere!
Lily Ha – MA Intern abilities and potential. Has experience working students. She loves to work with high school students and the college population. Lily is working on her Ph.D.
She is an extraordinary decorator and organizer, and loves to dance.
Juan Loya – ABD Intern Has training and experience assisting clients in creating, visualizing and implementing improved futures. He specializes in loss, grief and life transitions. As retired military, he understands the needs of military personnel and Spanish.

What’s New Art & Musical Festival Auditions The Arts & Music Festival is an annual celebration of the artistic side of the UIW community, sponsored by the Honors Program and the UIW Chorale. Auditions are being held for performers who would like to be considered for the Arts & Music Festival on Thursday, Oct. 23.
