Join us for the 28th Annual Light the Way "A Cardinals Christmas" on Saturday, November 22. This free holiday celebration kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in Gayle & Tom Benson Stadium (4301 Broadyway), complete with music and dance performances by students from UIW and the Brainpower Connections schools as well as appearances by several special guests. You won't want to miss the official switch being flipped to illuminate the campus with nearly a million lights. The evening ends with a reception of hot cocoa, cookies and nonalcoholic sparkling cider on Dubuis Lawn following the candle-lit procession through campus to enjoy the twinkling lights. Light the Way Parking & Athletic Facilities Notice In preparation for Light the Way, there will be no parking in various areas throughout campus beginning 7 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 20 through noon, Sunday, Nov. 23. Signs will be posted as a reminder starting Mon, Nov 17. The McDermott Convocation Center and the Benson Stadium will be closed Friday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 23 as well. The Barshop Natatorium will only be closed on Saturday, Nov. 22. Vehicles found parked in these areas will be relocated at the owners expense ($85.00). Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we prepare for UIW’s annual holiday tradition!

DECEMBER 4 -7, 2014 VOLUNTEER FOR THE RACE CREW!

The Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon & 1/2 Marathon is rockin’ through your neighborhood December 4 – 7, 2014. Nearly 30,000 runners will race to the finish, but they won’t be the only ones out on the streets of San Antonio. The Humana Rock 'n' Roll San Antonio also features live bands playing every mile, as well as a post-race headliner concert. It’s a 26.2 mile block party! Volunteering for the Race Crew means you will not only be supporting thousands of aspiring runners and walkers, but also our charity partners. We need your help to make this event spectacular, and with over 2,000 Race Crew volunteer positions available there is a spot for everyone, including teams, corporate groups, or just friends and family.

Don’t miss official switch this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Students who are interested in taking advantage of the Winter Break option is made available at $100 per week and can be requested in increments of individual weeks.
