Mon., April 15th 5 - 6pm - Brackenridge Villa Prayerfully circle the Peace Pole remembering the people of all the countries in the world. Stand together seeking resources for education, health care, jobs, homes, and food. Join with millions of others in 43 countries who are observing the Global Day of Action on Military Spending http://demilitarize.org/. In the US 46.2 million or 1 out of 7 people live in poverty. Today Pentagon spending accounts for more than 50% of Federal budget discretionary expenditures. Now is the time to “beat swords into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks” as the prophet Isaiah wrote.
