Major: Psychology Minor: special education and sociology Year: senior A good homecoming queen is someone who is the face of UIW. She is involved on campus, is well rounded and diverse and gives back to her c ommunity. Being involved on campus though Greek life, ResLife and much more, I have developed all of those aspects. I strived to make a difference and with me as homecoming queen I will do just that. Fun Facts: I am a military brat who was born in Japan, has traveled the country, lived in 10 different states and has seen the world. I am very loud, out going, and an over all a happy person. I am more of a tomboy then girly girl, but knows how to act like a lady. I love to snow ski, hike, and camp (in a tent with a sleeping bag). I love hello kitty! And last, this summer I went to see Minnie Mouse at Disney land!
Alex Huron Major: Athletic Training Year: 5th Year
Why: I would make a great Homecoming Queen because of my experiences and involvement here at UIW. I'm a former athlete, I am a member of Greek Life, and I helped bring forth a new organization on campus that benefits students both personally and academically. I love UIW and I believe I embody the school spirit o f the students. Fun Facts: I have traveled to France, Italy and Greece. I work for Red Bull.

Majors: BS in Athletic Training & BS Rehabilitative Science Year: Senior As Queen, I would like to bring awareness on the importance of charity and s ervice to the UIW and San Antonio community. All that is done from the goodness of your heart will fill others with joy. I believe that we are all put on this Earth to help each other and make our home a better place to live and enjoy. Volunteering has taught me the significance of doing my part to help environmental, social, and economical issues that surround all of us in our daily lives. Fun Facts: I love volunteering and helping others I one day want to have a pet duck and a duck sanctuary I love Ariana Grande’s music!
Ivan Dominguez
Majors: BS in Athletic Training & BS Rehabilitative Science Year: Senior Being homecoming king means headlining the characteristics of UIW's core values as well as demonstrating how an individual can make a positive impact on campus. If I am chosen to be king I will continue to make efforts in impacting the student community by helping develop new organizations, emphasizing the importance of higher education, and engaging the community through service.

Major: Music Education Year: 4th Year, Senior I would be a great King, because I feel that I show what it is to be a UIW student. I perform in service projects on and off campus, I focus hard on my academics and strive for success in everything I do. I came to UIW for one reason, and that was to grow with it, so I aim to do whatever UIW needs to gain more growth! Fun Facts: I have 3 sisters currently attending plus one sister who graduated in Fall 2014. One of them is my twin! I am an expecting father and the founding President of Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Alpha Chi National College Honor Society The University of the Incarnate Word has had an active chapter of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society since the 1920s. Induction to Alpha Chi is limited to the top 10% of the junior and senior classes with a grade point average of 3.50 and above. It is the highest academic honor society at the university and is the institutional equivalent to Phi Beta Kappa at larger universities. The annual induction ceremony is in the spring semester. Students receive a membership certificate, pin, and stole to wear at graduation. Members can also apply for important scholarships and are invited to attend regional and national conferences. Membership invitations are sent out in the early spring, so keep an eye out for your invitation and be sure to reply when you receive it. Faculty co-‐sponsors are Dr. Stefanie Boswell (psychology) and Dr. Roger Barnes (sociology and criminal justice). For additional information, they can be contacted at: ssboswel@uiwtx.edu and barnes@uiwtx.edu
