WELCOME The recent return of interstate artists to UKARIA over the past few months has kindled a growing sense of optimism that we are slowly but surely beginning to emerge into an exciting new era.
International artists are beginning to knock on our doors once again: new conversations are beginning, and new relationships are being forged. The pandemic has made us consider new ways of working which are more dynamic and responsive. A purely digital release means that we can continue to be flexible, adding additional performances when it is safe to do so. This next season takes us through until the end of July and it gives us great pleasure to welcome back artists and ensembles – some of whom have not given a live performance for many months, and others whose previous plans with us were put on hold.
6
In April we launch our inaugural A Cappella Academy, a three-year initiative which supports South Australia’s rich choral tradition. We welcome Timothy Wayne-Wright, former member of The King’s Singers, to lead a series of intensive masterclasses over four days that will culminate in a finale concert by four chamber choirs. We are also pleased to be part of the Adelaide Hills Wellness Wander, a new community initiative designed to enrich your mental, physical and social wellbeing. The immediacy of live performance continues to inspire and uplift, and we’re sure you’ll discover something wonderful at UKARIA over the Autumn–Winter season.

SLAVA GRIGORYAN WITH RAINER JOZEPS
The Silence of Music and Trees SUNDAY 3 APRIL 2.30PM
Before humans roamed the planet there was only stillness and silence, save for the sounds of nature: wind passing through the trees, water lapping against the landscape, birds singing from the sky. The sounds of nature today are almost exactly as they were back then. Silence calms, nature restores, and music heals, reconnecting us to what is simultaneously understood and incomprehensible. Indeed, these forces have become synonymous with our definition of ‘wellness’, but the impossible pace of our contemporary lives has seen them become endangered species. In May 2021 Buddhist meditation practitioner and esteemed arts executive Rainer Jozeps joined pianist Tamara-Anna Cislowska for Silence and the Piano – a hybrid meditation-concert experience that was among the most memorable of our season. We’re delighted that Rainer will be returning in April for a sequel – this time with award-winning guitarist Slava Grigoryan.
Duration | Approximately one hour without interval. Note | Complimentary afternoon tea will be served after the performance. Tickets Adult (A) $55 Concession (C) $50 Student (S) $25 Dining Options | A Ploughman’s Lunch can be pre-booked to enjoy before the concert ($25).
Central to the program’s repertoire are the slow movements from J.S. Bach’s Suites for Solo Cello (transcribed for the brooding, mellow tones of the baritone guitar) that Slava recorded for ABC Classic at UKARIA in 2016–17. Released in two volumes, they remain among the highest selling classical music albums in the ARIA charts. Guided by Rainer’s gentle delivery of the spoken word and Slava’s beguiling guitar playing, this unique experience will reconnect stillness, music and nature to reveal their wonder as both independent and inseparable. ‘How beautiful,’ Rainer says, ‘to think that we can still hear prehistoric earth if we choose to simply by tuning in to it.’ Presented in partnership with Wellness Wander.

MICHELLE NICOLLE QUARTET
The Loveliest Night SATURDAY 9 APRIL 7.30PM
‘Nicolle’s warmth and an effortless flow of ideas makes the old sound new. This is a voice Australia should be proud of.’ – Limelight Arranger, bandleader and award-winning jazz vocalist Michelle Nicolle grew up in the Barossa Valley in the early 1970s. She played violin in the school orchestra, sang in every choir on offer, and taught herself to play the Angaston Town Hall’s grand piano whilst her father polished the dance floor. Currently based in Melbourne, Michelle is now celebrated as a creative and masterful improviser, with the vocal pyrotechnics to match any instrumentalist.
Michelle Nicolle | Voice / Piano Geoff Hughes | Guitar Tom Lee | Bass Ronny Ferella | Drums Duration | Approximately two hours, including a twenty-minute interval. Tickets Adult (A) $65 Concession (C) $60 Dining Options | Cheese and charcuterie platters can be pre-booked to enjoy before the concert ($25 each).
Together for over twenty years, the Michelle Nicolle Quartet have performed all around the globe in places as varied as South Korea, Finland, and the Czech Republic; New Zealand, Turkey, Estonia, Singapore and Thailand, in addition to appearances at the Tokyo Jazz Festival. Upon the release of their debut album Misterioso (1998), Rolling Stone dubbed Michelle ‘more interesting than most other jazz vocalists in the country’, noting her ‘formidable technique’ and ‘staggering range’. Only a few years later, The Weekend Australian proclaimed the quartet’s sophomore album After the Rain ‘the best album by an Australian jazz singer in more than a decade’. An additional six albums have since followed, the most recent of which (A Flower is a Lovesome Thing) won The Bell Australian Jazz Award for Vocal Album of the Year in 2017. In one of the loveliest nights you’ll experience all year, the quartet present a rich and varied selection of classic jazz standards alongside original compositions from their acclaimed discography.

THE A CAPPELLA ACADEMY WITH TIMOTHY WAYNE-WRIGHT
Finale
SUNDAY 1 MAY 2.30PM ‘There is no purer expression of music than using an instrument which is in-built.’ – Timothy Wayne-Wright The rich tradition of a cappella singing is exemplified by groups such as The Gesualdo Six and VOCES8. In this precise work of matching and balancing vocal colour, a deep understanding of the techniques involved is crucial, and there are few in the world better placed to coach this than Timothy Wayne-Wright. Now based in New Zealand, Timothy was a member of the Grammy-winning ensemble The King’s Singers for ten years. He has toured the world, sung over 1,500 concerts, and taught hundreds of masterclasses and workshops, imparting chamber music skills to choirs and instrumentalists across the globe. Over four days at UKARIA, a group of Adelaide’s most committed and skilled ensemble singers will come together for a new initiative in UKARIA’s masterclass series. Our inaugural A Cappella Academy will culminate in a special finale featuring performances from the Adelaide Chamber Singers and Aurora Vocal Ensemble directed by Christie Anderson, ACS2 – a new professional training choir attached to the Adelaide Chamber Singers – directed by Carl Crossin, and the Festival Statesmen Chorus directed by Jonathan Bligh, with a program ranging from early Renaissance polyphony to contemporary a cappella repertoire.
Duration | Approximately two hours, including a twenty-minute interval. A pre-concert Q&A will be given by Timothy Wayne-Wright from 1.30–2.00pm. Note | Complimentary afternoon tea will be served during the interval. Tickets Adult (A) $55 Concession (C) $50 Student (S) $25 Dining Options | A Ploughman’s Lunch can be pre-booked to enjoy before the concert ($25). VIKA & LINDA WITH CAMERON BRUCE
The Wait
FRIDAY 6 MAY 7.30PM SATURDAY 7 MAY 7.30PM
‘Their voices combined sound salty-sweet, and have that elusive twinned quality you only get when siblings sing together – two swallows swooping and spiralling in the air as if invisibly girded.’ – Paul Kelly In April 2021, Vika Bull gave three sold-out performances at UKARIA with Paul Grabowsky. It was only fitting that we ask her to return with her sister so we can experience their magic together. Admired and respected by fans and fellow artists alike, Vika & Linda are among the most influential vocal duos of their generation, enthralling audiences in Australia and around the world with the unique synergy and infectious effervescence.
Duration | Approximately two hours, including a twenty-minute interval. Tickets Adult (A) $65 Concession (C) $60 Dining Options | Cheese and charcuterie platters can be pre-booked to enjoy before the concert ($25 each). These concerts are generously sponsored by JaquillardMinns.
After three albums with The Black Sorrows, Vika & Linda have released six studio albums, two live albums and a chart-topping anthology. They’ve also sung on some of the most iconic Australian albums of all time, including Archie Roach’s Charcoal Lane, John Farnham’s Chain Reaction, Deborah Conway’s String of Pearls, Kasey Chambers’ Dragonfly and Paul Kelly’s Life is Fine. Vika & Linda traverse rock, country, gospel, reggae, R&B, soul and blues, as well as paying tribute to their rich Tongan heritage. In a bespoke show exclusive to UKARIA, Vika & Linda perform their new album The Wait, along with highlights from their award-winning ‘Aikoltoa anthology, accompanied at the piano by their close collaborator and producer Cameron Bruce.

EMMA PEARSON, SALLY WALKER AND TAMARA-ANNA CISLOWSKA
Enchanted Gardens SATURDAY 14 MAY 2.30PM SUNDAY 15 MAY 2.30PM
This concert has been rescheduled from Sunday 5 September 2021.
In March 2021, beloved Australian soprano Taryn Fiebig passed away after a long battle with cancer. Originally scheduled to perform in this concert back in February 2021, it was sadly not to be. Acclaimed musicians Sally Walker (flute) and Tamara-Anna Cislowska (piano) remain committed to giving this performance in Taryn’s memory, and we’re delighted to have been able to secure award-winning soprano Emma Pearson to perform in her stead. Featuring works by Delibes, Massenet, Ibert, Saint-Saëns, Ravel and others, this program evokes the meditative, healing qualities of French gardens.
Duration | Approximately one hour and thirty minutes, including a twenty-minute interval. Note | Complimentary afternoon tea will be served during the interval. Tickets Adult (A) $55 Concession (C) $50 Student (S) $25 Dining Options | A Ploughman’s Lunch can be pre-booked to enjoy before the concert ($25).

AUSTRALIAN STRING QUARTET WITH GENEVIEVE LACEY
Re-Inventions SUNDAY 22 MAY 2.30PM
Recorder virtuoso Genevieve Lacey is an artist with whom we have maintained an exceptionally close connection. Currently our Artistic Advisor, Genevieve curated two highly significant weekend events in UKARIA’s history: our inaugural Ngeringa 24 event in 2016, and A Brief History of Time: Chamber Landscapes in the 2019 Adelaide Festival. Last year, Genevieve was all set to embark on her first national tour with the Australian String Quartet. Sadly COVID disrupted their plans, so we’re especially glad that 2022 will provide an opportunity for them to reunite at UKARIA. Inspired by the breathtaking cave systems of Western Australia’s Margaret River region, Lachlan Skipworth’s new Quintet layers the rich, evocative tones of the bass recorder over a backdrop of digital sound to create a mysterious world of subterranean reverberations. Also on the program are the much-loved Re-Inventions – Elena Kats-Chernin’s joyful, effervescent takes on Bach’s twopart inventions. How beautiful to hear these two unique expressions of Australia, framed by sumptuous quartets by Beethoven and Verdi.

ENSEMBLE Q
Fantasias
SUNDAY 29 MAY 2.30PM
Formed in 2017 by Co-Artistic Directors Paul and Trish Dean, Ensemble Q has established itself as one of Australia’s premier ensembles. Led by Natsuko Yoshimoto, the Brisbane-based collective provides mentorship for outstanding young performers from the Queensland Conservatorium. Ensemble Q returns to UKARIA in 2022 for a program spanning four hundred years. The lines between contemporary atonal music and what we might call ‘early music’ are blurred by the extraordinary harmonies present in the music of the seventeenth century, and transcended by the complex counterpoint inherent in the music of Mozart and Bruckner. This intriguing conversation between the centuries is heightened by the contrast between strings and winds, amalgamated by a performance that utilises the segue concept to create a seamless trajectory through time, from William Byrd and Henry Purcell to Benjamin Britten, Alfred Schnittke and György Kurtág.
Duration | Approximately seventy minutes without interval. Note | Complimentary afternoon tea will be served after the interval. Tickets Adults (A) $55 Concession (C) $50 Student (S) $25 Dining Options | A Ploughman’s Lunch can be pre-booked to enjoy before the concert ($25).

WINTER Like the gale, that sighs along Beds of oriental flowers, Is the grateful breath of song, That once was heard in happier hours. Fill’d with balm the gale sighs on, Though the flowers have sunk in death; So, when pleasure’s dream is gone, Its memory lives in Music’s breath.

AUSTRALIAN ROMANTIC & CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA
Sounds of Vienna SUNDAY 5 JUNE 2.30PM
Vienna was the centre of the cultural world at the dawn of the nineteenth century. Music was performed everywhere – in homes both grand and modest, in the taverns, even in the streets – and one of the city’s stars was Joseph Leopold Eybler, a friend and distant cousin of Haydn’s, who in his youth had been dubbed the greatest musical genius in Vienna apart from Mozart. His String Quintet is a sparkling, delightful example of late Classical style, and deserves to be better known. Schubert wrote his Octet in 1824 at the suggestion of a colleague who wanted another piece like Beethoven’s Septet, first performed in Vienna in 1800 and still very
26
much a favourite of the city’s music community. Schubert added a second violin to Beethoven’s instrumentation, and kept a similar structure to his work, but the character of the music is all his own. This most ambitious chamber work, and arguably his finest, features those immediately Schubertian qualities of effortless, gorgeous melodies coupled with an almost desperate sense of heartache and longing. Rediscover this iconic masterpiece (alongside the revelatory Eybler) in a definitive performance on period instruments by the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra – a world-class ensemble of leading national and international exponents of historically informed performance, founded under the artistic direction of the late Richard Gill AO.
Duration | Approximately two hours, including a twenty-minute interval. Note | Complimentary afternoon tea will be served after the performance. Tickets Adults (A) $55 Concession (C) $50 Student (S) $25 Dining Options | Hearty soup with hot crusty bread can be pre-booked to enjoy before the concert ($15).

AUSTRALIAN STRING QUARTET
Paterson and Haydn FRIDAY 17 JUNE 11.00AM
Over the past few years, the Australian String Quartet has championed and celebrated our nation’s finest composers through their unique Australian Anthology Project. They’ve commissioned new quartets from Nigel Westlake, Kate Moore and James Ledger, and recorded works by Joe Chindamo, Paul Stanhope, Dr Lou Bennett AM, William Barton, Stephen Pigram, Anne Cawrse and Ross Edwards. In 2022 the ASQ will give the premiere of Australian composer and pianist David Paterson’s first String Quartet. Commissioned with the generous support of Michael Rowe and Bernard Ryan, the new work will celebrate the birthday of Patricia Davidson, one of our most loyal patrons. In the second half, the ASQ will play the first of Haydn’s quartets from the great Op. 76 set – universally regarded among the greatest examples in the repertoire.

ANNA O’BYRNE
Becoming Eliza SUNDAY 19 JUNE 2.30PM
‘Anna O’Byrne is one of the loveliest Australian actresses in musical theatre today. Her portrayal of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady was wonderful and now her one-woman show Becoming Eliza is a tour de force. Don’t miss it! It will warm your heart.’ – Dame Julie Andrews In 2016 Anna O’Byrne won the role of a lifetime when she was hand-picked by Dame Julie Andrews to play Eliza in the sixtieth anniversary production of My Fair Lady, which played at the Sydney Opera House and on tour. After enchanting audiences across the country and winning rave reviews along the way, Anna won the coveted Helpmann Award for her extraordinary performance. Anna has established an international career spanning opera, theatre, concert and film. She has sung for royalty, world leaders and other dignitaries. She created the role of Christine Daaé in the Australian production and DVD of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies, and played Christine in The Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End. Other appearances include Laurie in Oklahoma (Melbourne), Jenny Lind in Barnum (Chicester), A Little Night Music, Amour, Strangers on a Train (London) and Sarah Brown in the UK tour of Guys and Dolls. In Becoming Eliza, Anna reflects on her unique experience and shares stories about working intimately with an internationally adored icon, and what it is to share a role created sixty years apart, as well as the lessons she learned from both Dame Julie and Eliza. This concert features iconic songs from beloved musicals on stage and screen including Camelot, The Sound of Music, Victor/ Victoria and, of course, My Fair Lady.

SIMON TEDESCHI AND JOHN BELL
With Love, Amadeus SUNDAY 26 JUNE 2.30PM
‘If people could see into my heart, I should almost feel ashamed… all there is cold, cold as ice.’
Duration | Approximately two hours, including a twenty-minute interval.
–Letter to Constanze Mozart, September 1790
Note | Complimentary afternoon tea will be served during the interval.
Nothing is more revealing of a person’s character than their private letters, especially if they are not intended for publication. The letters of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) are candid, emotional, sometimes hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking as we follow his precarious fortunes, his triumphs and hardships, his reliance on fickle patronage, his occasional penury, his cheeky letters to his cousin and his desperation to please a tyrannical father.
Tickets Adults (A) $55 Concession (C) $50 Student (S) $25 Dining Options | Hearty soup with hot crusty bread can be pre-booked to enjoy before the concert ($15).
As Australian theatre legend John Bell traces the life and career of Mozart, reading extensively from his letters along with comments by some of his contemporaries, charismatic pianist Simon Tedeschi performs a soundtrack to the young composer’s life with a range of Mozart’s most beloved works, including the Fantasia in D minor, K. 397, the Variations on ‘Ah vous dirai-je, Mamn’ (Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star), K. 265, and the Rondo Alla Turca. With Love, Amadeus shines the spotlight once more on one of classical music’s enduring heroes, and marks the fifth collaboration between two of Australia’s leading artists from theatre and classical music, John Bell AO OBE and Simon Tedeschi.

JOE CAMILLERI AND PAUL GRABOWSKY FRIDAY 1 JULY 7.30PM SATURDAY 2 JULY 7.30PM
Over the fast five years, UKARIA has maintained a very special relationship with Paul Grabowsky. He’s brought some of Australia’s finest vocalists through our doors, and in return, we’ve provided a space for these collaborations to take flight, ultimately leading to three ARIA Awardwinning albums: Tryst (2019, with Kate Ceberano), Tell Me Why (2020, with Archie Roach) and Please Leave Your Light On (2020, with Paul Kelly). In 2022 Paul returns to UKARIA to create more magic with yet another iconic Australian voice. Named a ‘Living Legend’ by Rolling Stone, Joe Camilleri has a lifetime of music making behind him as the leader of Jo Jo Zep and The Falcons and The Black Sorrows. Last year Joe released his fiftieth studio album, and shows no sign of slowing down. His enduring work as a singer, songwriter, saxophonist and producer led to his induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007.

A rare opportunity to hear two of Australia’s most enduring artists with unprecedented intimacy, Joe and Paul come together at UKARIA for the first time for another unmissable collaboration. A diverse array of jazz standards and selections from the Bob Dylan songbook will complement new original songs written exclusively for this performance.

KRISTIAN WINTHER, ANNA POKORNY AND KONSTANTIN SHAMRAY
Tour de Trois SUNDAY 10 JULY 2.30PM
‘I’m very excited to present this program of five wildly different and visionary composers. Max Reger is the last giant of the romantic period, and his monumental Chaconne for solo violin is like a musical frieze depicting the development of music from Bach to Brahms. Controversial futurist, author, inventor, pianist and composer George Antheil, whose 1945 autobiography was entitled The Bad Boy of Music, wrote in a style which fused modernism, romanticism and jazz. His Sonatine for Violin and Cello is a foil for the next short work on the program which asks the question: What happens when modernist Jörg Widmann writes a piece based on the James Bond theme? Alfred Schnittke’s first Sonata for Violin and Piano, modelled on the famous Shostakovich second Piano Trio, is an exciting rhythmic and melodic tour de force unlike anything in his subsequent output. Finally, Ravel’s sublime and masterful Piano Trio concludes this program. Thanks to UKARIA, I’m exceptionally lucky to now be the custodian of an extraordinary Vuillaume violin, an instrument of rare qualities and, for an instrument from 1859, of even rarer condition. For my first concert at UKARIA with this instrument, it was important to me to present a major French piece of music, such as the Ravel Trio, to showcase this French violin, but also to display the versatility and power of the instrument in a diverse range of other music as well.’

GRACE CLIFFORD, WENHONG LUO AND RICHARD NARROWAY
Triple Strung SUNDAY 17 JULY 2.30PM
Since her breakthrough win at the 2014 ABC Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year Awards at the age of sixteen, Grace Clifford has gained recognition as ‘one of the finest violinists Australia has produced’ (Benjamin Northey). She has appeared as a soloist with the major Australian symphony orchestras, as a guest with Selby & Friends, and at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, among international appearances including touring with the Ravina Steans Music Institute. Violist Wenhong Luo’s career also flourished from the age of sixteen when she made her debut as a soloist with the China Broadcast Symphony Orchestra. She then moved to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music; completed her doctorate at the New England Conservatory of Music (Boston), before relocating to Melbourne to join the string faculty at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2020. Originally from Sydney, Richard Narroway also joined the string faculty at the Melbourne Conservatorium as lecturer in cello in 2020. He earned degrees from The Juilliard School and Northwestern University, before completing his Doctorate at the University of Michigan. Richard was named the Freedman Classical Fellow in 2020 and will soon embark on a tour aboard The Gahn, bringing Australian solo cello repertoire to rural communities.

ALEXANDRA FLOOD AND KONSTANTIN SHAMRAY
From Russia With Love SUNDAY 24 JULY 2.30PM
‘And the heart, thus unburdened, straightaway realises that it is still alive and beating and wishing to beat and offer itself up in pure gratitude for this overwhelming gift. It was then that one felt – oh, were it forever so! – the double joy of music and love.’ – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749–1832) Since her debut in 2014 as a young artist at the Salzburg Festival in Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio für kinder, Australian lyric coloratura soprano Alexandra Flood has graced opera and concert stages throughout the world. Last year she made her debut with the Opéra National de Paris in one of the leading roles in Benjamin Britten’s The Rape of Lucrecia, before featuring in a gala concert of Mozart arias at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. She performed at the Teatro la Fenice as part of the 2019 Venice Art Biennale; sang German and Swedish Lieder at the Northern Lights Festival in Tromsø, Norway, and completed a summer residency at SongFest Los Angeles as the inaugural Australian Stern Fellow. This year she makes her debut in The Marriage of Figaro at Teatro Réal in Madrid and stars in a new Opera Queensland and Brisbane Festival co-production of Poulenc’s La voix humaine. Suffice to say, we couldn’t be more delighted to welcome Alexandra for her UKARIA debut.

In a treasure trove of Russian art song, you’ll hear sumptuous romances by Rachmaninov and RimskyKorsakov, before Nikolai Medtner (‘the greatest composer of our time,’ according to Rachmaninov) proves himself a worthy successor to Schubert, with music set to – and inspired by – the immortal verse of Goethe, Pushkin and Eichendorff. Who better to accompany Alexandra than a pianist who grew up where this music was born?

KRISTIN BERARDI AND SAM ANNING WITH ANDREA KELLER
Our Songs, Not Songs SATURDAY 30 JULY 7.30PM
Since winning the Montreux Jazz Festival’s International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2006, Kristin Berardi has established herself as one of Australia’s most distinguished jazz luminaries. She’s been a recipient of the Churchill and Freedman fellowships, performed in the Closing Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in 2018, and has won The National Bell Award for Best Jazz Vocal album three times. Currently residing in Switzerland, Kristin is on staff at the Hochschule Luzerne, but will fly home to Australia in July to visit friends and family.
Duration | Approximately two hours, including a twenty-minute interval. Tickets Adult (A) $65 Concession (C) $60 Dining Options | Cheese and charcuterie platters can be pre-booked to enjoy before the concert ($25 each).
Currently based in Melbourne, bassist Sam Anning completed a Masters of Music at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, and has toured extensively throughout the world with performances at the Montreal, Vancouver, Detroit, Jazz à Vienne, Copenhagen, Port au Prince, and Panama Jazz Festivals. He’s worked with Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner, Joe Chindamo, Paul Grabowsky, and Jamie Oehlers. After discovering one another’s deep affinity for poetry and music, Kristin and Sam started performing as a duo in 2017. Their debut album Our Songs, Not Songs (2019) is a collection of original works that entwine their improvisational virtuosity with an expression more akin to folk music. In their first performance for UKARIA, Kristin and Sam perform their album live (featuring special guest appearances by ARIA Award-winning pianist and composer Andrea Keller), along with a selection of classic jazz standards.

WEEKEND WELLNESS RETREAT
FRIDAY 1–SUNDAY 3 APRIL
FRIDAY 1–SUNDAY 3 APRIL
As a region that emphasises sustainability, the Adelaide Hills is the perfect place to immerse yourself in nature and take some time to rest, play and unwind. Known for its endearing towns, sprawling vineyards and delicious produce, the Adelaide Hills is also a thriving wellness hub.
Imagine escaping the city early Friday afternoon and enjoying a leisurely drive into the Adelaide Hills for a weekend escape just for you. Leave the busyness of the week behind you and soak in the fresh air, the sounds of nature, the nurturing food and great company, giving yourself the space to restore and reconnect.
Wellness Wander gathers the most inspiring wellness experiences in the area for you to pick and choose from over three days. Meander through local markets to discover farm-fresh produce and artisanal products, connect with nature and the local wildlife or allow soulful practitioners to soothe stress with indulgent, creative and mindful activities. With activities for adults and children alike, there is something for everyone. Discover the full program of events at wellnesswander.com.au
A delicious plant-based menu will nourish you with fresh seasonal ingredients and produce sourced from local farmers and markets, with wholesome home-style meals with tasty, nutritious ingredients. No fitness experience is required: participate in as many or as few movement classes as you want – yoga for the mind and body to stretch, restore and disconnect; pilates for overall core strengthening, balance and flexibility; and a dance cardio class to elevate the heart rate. After three days and two nights of accommodation at our Twin Peaks property adjacent to the Mount Barker Summit, you’ll feel light, re-energised and genuinely exhilarated.
