THERE’S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VISITING AND EXPERIENCING Simply landing on a beautiful island is one thing. Getting to know its science, history, and secrets is quite another. These are the kinds of in-depth experiences our naturalist guides create just for you. They're some of the best in the Galapagos. Experts in everything from science to history, they've spent years on these fascinating islands, and many were raised in the region. They'll give you not only a unique view from an ecologic and geologic perspective but also a personal view of what it's like to grow up in such a special place. Visit celebrity.com/galapagos, call us at 1-888-751-9303, or contact your travel advisor.
CERTIFIED NATURALISTS Each guide on our Galapagos sailings will be on board during your entire vacation. They’re certified by the Galapagos National Park, recognizing their extensive educational training and commitment to maintaining the pristine nature of these islands. They are the real difference between an ordinary vacation and an extraordinary journey.

SEE IT ALL THROUGH THE EYES OF EXPERTS To bring you a deeper, richer, more immersive Galapagos experience, we’ve partnered with world-renowned scientists to deliver an enlightening, authentic, and original vacation. Our commitment to your enriching experience starts with our regional destination expert, marine scientist Dr. Ellen Prager. She’s created informative presentations, trained naturalists, and worked with our excursions team to create unique experiences that will enrich your vacation in so many ways.
Visit celebrity.com/galapagos, call us at 1-888-751-9303, or contact your travel advisor.
DR. ELLEN PRAGER A well-known marine and earth scientist and author of numerous science books, Dr. Prager serves as our science advisor. She knows these islands’ innermost secrets and their famous inhabitants and shares them with you through presentations, and exciting shore excursions she’s curated. She also assists with onboard programming, naturalist training, conservation efforts, and excursion planning. 9
BEAUTY COMES NATURALLY The animals of the Galapagos are unlike any others on earth. Apart from having no natural fear of humans, they evolved in entirely unique manners, which are on full display daily for you to see. This includes enormous 100-year-old Galapagos giant tortoises, free-diving marine iguanas, the beautiful and animated blue-footed boobies, and a host of other exotic fauna found nowhere else on earth.
Visit celebrity.com/galapagos, call us at 1-888-751-9303, or contact your travel advisor.
THE FLORA
THE FAUNA
While the animals of the Galapagos Islands get the glory, the evolution and adaptation of plants here is equally important. Check out the beautiful lava cactus, which grows only on barren lava fields, the prickly pear cactus, found only on these islands, and the magnificent Scalesia tree, which grows up to 60 feet tall.
Since the animals here don’t fear the humans, you can truly get up close and personal. Look into the eyes of a Galapagos iguana and swim among the only penguin species found north of the equator. Here, you’ll meet the creatures whose very existence forms the basis for one of the most famous scientific theories in history.
THE UNFORGETTABLE
THE ADVENTURE
You really haven’t vacationed until you’ve hung out with a blue-footed booby, come face to face with a Galapagos giant tortoise, and marveled at the sight of a magnificent frigate bird, not to mention Darwin’s finches, more than 13 species that have adapted to different areas of the islands.
Get ready for the snorkel experience of a lifetime. Here, you’ll swim beside sea turtles and friendly, curious sea lions. They welcome you and swim 11 along as if you were part of the family.
LOW-IMPACT TRAVEL
THE “GALAPAGOS TOMATO”
Your Galapagos experience upholds the highest standards of environmental stewardship. We care about the big things, like painting our hulls with silicone to move our ships more efficiently with less fuel, plus the little things, like sourcing the chocolates on your pillow from a local manufacturer that buys cacao from small producers in the region.
We’ve funded construction of greenhouses and provided additional support for local farmers’ associations, resulting in the first-ever signed agreement between local farmers and a cruise ship company. One result of our organic agriculture initiatives has been the creation of hybrid “Galapagos tomatoes,” now served on our Galapagos sailings.
THE DAILY CATCH
THE GALAPAGOS FUND
Through the Galapagos Fund, we worked with the local community to create a fishing co-op, which provides fishermen with a safe, clean processing plant in which to prepare, store, and sell their catch efficiently. Today, we serve the co-op’s deliciously fresh, locally sourced, daily catch on board.
We created the Galapagos Fund together with the Galapagos Conservancy. The fund allows our guests to make a direct and lasting impact on the preservation of the region’s rare flora and fauna, both marine and terrestrial. Since 2006, Celebrity and our guests have contributed over $1.5 million to this fund for projects such as schools 13 for special needs and for women’s entrepreneurship.
LEAVING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE When you love traveling the planet as much as we do, being its steward is paramount. We're focused passionately on preserving the environment and partnering with local organizations on programs designed to improve the quality of life for residents of the Galapagos Islands. Since 2014, working in collaboration with the Galapagos National Park and our naturalists, our guests have introduced more than 38,000 plants in support of the Scalesia reforestation effort. We're not only helping the wildlife that rely on these plants for survival but also assuring that future generations get to experience this magical place—just as you can today.

PLACES WE VISIT BARONESS OUTLOOK, FLOREANA ISLAND The Baroness’ Viewing Point is an ideal place to take in the unique scenery that defines Floreana and to learn about the history of the island’s early settlers. Once inhabited by an indulgent baroness and her three lovers, the island presents an intriguing history.
CHAMPION ISLET, FLOREANA
DRAGON HILL, SANTA CRUZ ISLAND
Champion lies east of Floreana and provides a wonderful opportunity for snorkeling and a tender ride. When snorkeling, tropical fish abound, with frequent sightings of sea turtles, rays, sharks, sea stars, and more.
Dragon Hill, or Cerro Dragón, is named after its population of land iguanas. The site offers a beautiful view of the landscape and two small brackish lagoons where flamingos and other shore birds occasionally feed. On our hike along the trail, we’ll cross a beautiful “white forest” of palo santo (incense) trees and Galapagos cotton plants.
BALTRA ISLAND During World War II, Baltra served as a U.S. military base protecting the Panama Canal from enemy attack. Now the cactus-strewn landscapes of Baltra are home to the region’s main airport.
EL BARRANCO, GENOVESA ISLAND El Barranco, also known as Prince Philip's Steps after the prince who visited in 1965 and 1981, is a steep stairway that leads up through a seabird colony full of Nazca and red-footed boobies. Once visitors reach the plateau, the trail continues inland and passes more nesting booby colonies in the thin palo santo forest.
BUCCANEER COVE, SANTIAGO ISLAND Buccaneer Cove is a testament to the fact that Santiago Island was once a refuge for British buccaneers. These pirates would anchor in the protected bay to make repairs and stock up on tortoise meat.
ELIZABETH BAY, ISABELA ISLAND Elizabeth Bay is one of the westernmost points in the Galapagos. A scenic tender ride within this sheltered inlet offers viewing of a wide variety of wildlife and a wonderful mangrove ecosystem.
DARWIN BAY, GENOVESA ISLAND Darwin Bay’s soft white sand is only the beginning of a spectacular day. A trail from the beach takes you into lush mangroves where red-footed boobies nest. Other local wildlife includes sea lions, swallow-tailed gulls, frigate birds, and more.
ESPINOZA POINT, FERNANDINA ISLAND
BARTOLOMÉ ISLAND
Fernandina is the youngest island in the Galapagos and, as Charles Darwin wrote, it is “covered with immense deluges of black naked lava.” Along with its extraordinary black lava rocks, this point hosts the largest colony of marine iguanas in the archipelago, along with sea lions and a nesting site for flightless cormorants.
Bartolomé Island hosts one of the region’s most often photographed views, a spectacular geologic setting. Its barren moon-like volcanic landscapes, spatter cones, and pinnacle rock make for a unique stop. It is also home to the endemic Galapagos penguin and provides an excellent opportunity for snorkeling.
The beach at Gardner Bay, with its sparkling white sand, offers one of the best places to relax and swim in the Galapagos. It is home to one of the most important colonies of sea lions in the archipelago and a nesting site for sea turtles. Three species of Darwin’s finches and Española mockingbirds may be seen here.
LAS BACHAS, SANTA CRUZ ISLAND Las Bachas Beach is located in the north of Santa Cruz Island. Its soft, white sand is derived from corals and shells, making it a favorite nesting site for sea turtles. Behind the beach, there is a small brackish lagoon, where it is possible to observe flamingos and other coastal birds, such as black-necked stilts and whimbrels.
EGAS PORT, SANTIAGO ISLAND
BLACK TURTLE COVE, SANTA CRUZ ISLAND
With its black sand beach, coastal tide pools, and blue-water grottoes, this stop offers a wonderful taste of the Galapagos and the opportunity to see shore birds, Galapagos hawks, sea lions, marine iguanas, and Galapagos fur seals. Sea lions, colorful tropical fish, and sea turtles are often seen while snorkeling (conditions permitting).
A tender ride into Black Turtle Cove brings you up close to the quiet wonders of the Galapagos. Once inside the cove, we’ll explore the area quietly, looking for sea turtles, rays, and sharks.
Visit celebrity.com/galapagos, call us at 1-888-751-9303, or contact your travel advisor.
GARDNER BAY, ESPAÑOLA ISLAND
Itineraries are subject to change without notice.
31
NORTH SEYMOUR ISLAND North Seymour is a small island just north of Baltra. It is home to the largest colony of frigate birds in the Galapagos. While keeping an eye out for male frigates trying to impress potential mates with an inflated red neck pouch, you may also see blue-footed boobies dancing in a timeless courtship ritual.
POST OFFICE BAY, FLOREANA ISLAND Rich in history, this site is home to the post office barrel established around 1793, where pirates, buccaneers, whalers, and others could leave their mail to be picked up by outbound ships. The tradition continues today, as visitors leave addressed postcards in the barrel and sort through mail to deliver at home.
PUERTO AYORA, SANTA CRUZ ISLAND
SOUTH PLAZA, SANTA CRUZ ISLAND One of the islands off Santa Cruz, South Plaza was born of upheaval, uplifted during a geologic event. The rocky island is strewn with prickly pear cacti and home to land iguanas, marine iguanas, and a colony of sea lions.
This is the main population center of the islands and home to the National Park Service’s tortoise-breeding center and the Charles Darwin Research Station. You can visit the tortoise-breeding center and walk through the Charles Darwin Research Station.
SUAREZ POINT, ESPAÑOLA ISLAND
PUERTO BAQUERIZO MORENO, SAN CRISTOBAL ISLAND
Española is the oldest Galapagos island. Suarez Point is home to large populations of Nazca and blue-footed boobies, colorful Española lava lizards, Galapagos hawks and doves, Española mockingbirds, Darwin’s finches, swallow-tailed gulls, red-billed tropic birds that dash between the cracks in the cliffs, and waved albatross. The 10,000 to 12,000 pairs of waved albatross here represent most of this species on the planet.
Here we have the opportunity to visit the small waterfront town of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the administrative capital of the islands.
PUNTA PITT, SAN CRISTOBAL Pitt Point is located on the northeastern tip of San Cristobal Island. After disembarking onto the small green sand beach, you’ll hike up to a plateau where the view and landscape are spectacular—worth the effort. A steep gully leads up the cliff to a breeding ground for all three varieties of boobies: red-footed, blue-footed, and Nazca. It’s the only place in the Galapagos where you see all three nesting together.
SULLIVAN BAY, SANTIAGO ISLAND During a volcanic eruption in the early 1900s, this area of Santiago flowed with lava. Today, the hardened fields of black rock create a geologic wonderland. We’ll take advantage of the cool early morning for a walk to view strange twisting lava flows, collapse craters, and the hornitos (lava ovens). Tall red scoria cones and pioneer plants also dot this unusual and very young landscape.
RABIDA ISLAND A small island south of Santiago, Rabida is best known for its red sand and eroded volcanic landscape. A nesting colony of pelicans makes its home here, along with sea lions and some sea birds.
SANTA FE ISLAND
Composed of five coalesced volcanoes, Isabela is the largest Galapagos island and the most recently active, having erupted in 2015. Here we will see large land iguanas, finches, and if lucky, a giant tortoise or two. In 1954, the intrusion of magma below one of the island’s volcanoes caused part of the bay to be uplifted some six meters, and today we can walk through the remains of what was once a thriving underwater reef.
TAGUS COVE, ISABELA ISLAND
The visit at Santa Fe begins with a wet landing on the small beach in Barrington Bay, northeast side of the island. Large numbers of sea lions are found on the beaches and often surfing in the waves. Endemic plants and animals include massive Santa Fe opuntia cacti, rice rats, finches, and Galapagos hawks, snakes, and mockingbirds. Your visit includes a hike past saltbush, where Galapagos hawks and Santa Fe land iguanas roam
Visit celebrity.com/galapagos, call us at 1-888-751-9303, or contact your travel advisor.
URVINA BAY, ISABELA ISLAND
Historically an anchorage for pirates and whalers, this site offers a breathtaking view of Isabela, its volcanoes, and spectacular Darwin Lake. Along the shore, seabirds, penguins, sea lions, sea turtles, and nesting flightless cormorants can often be found.
VICENTE ROCA POINT, ISABELA ISLAND The half-collapsed remains of an ancient volcano make for a spectacular setting at this site. Awe-inspiring cliffs, blue waters, and plenty of wildlife create a tender ride to remember, as we search for sea turtles, penguins, fur seals, flightless cormorants, marine iguanas, marine mammals, and the oddly shaped form of the elusive sunfish. Itineraries are subject to change without notice.

For more important information and frequently asked questions, please visit celebrity.com PACKING PACKING FOR ADVENTURE What does one pack when one is visiting some of the most unique, unspoiled islands in the world? Surprisingly, many of the same things you would take with you to visit any foreign destination. However, when deciding what to pack, we suggest keeping one word in mind: practicality. DAYTIME AND SHORE EXCURSIONS • Neutral-colored clothing is advised due to possible presence of insects. • Lightweight rain jacket or windbreaker. • A small backpack to carry water and other essentials. • A hat, sunglasses, sunblock, and insect repellent. • A resealable plastic bag to prevent water damage to cameras and other items of that nature. • If guests bring a digital camera, they should make sure to pack plenty of memory cards. • The weather in these ports of call can be unpredictable, so we recommend layers. During the warmer months (February to June) it can be very hot on shore excursions. • Lightweight shorts and pants as well as both long-sleeve and short-sleeve shirts. • A jacket or sweatshirt will come in handy for cooler days and evenings. • Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes or lightweight hiking boots, thick socks, swimsuit, and waterproof sandals or wet/dry water shoes for the beach and wet landings. Some of the island trails require walking on rocks, so be sure to have support and good tread on walking shoes. EVENING • As you pack evening clothes, you should remember that there is no need for formal attire. • For women, we recommend pants and skirts, or even casual dresses. • For men, we recommend comfortable shirts and pants, along with a sweater or light jacket. Ultimately, we advise guests to take whatever clothing, shoes, and supplies will allow you to focus your time and attention on what matters most: immersing yourselves in the beauty and history of the Galapagos Islands. WHAT NOT TO PACK Weapons, illegal drugs, and other items that could interfere with the safe operation of the ship or the safe and secure environment of our guests and crew are prohibited. Complete information on prohibited items is available for review at celebrity.com/packing. The following are examples of items that guests are not allowed to bring on board. These and other similar items
will be collected from guests and/or luggage upon being found, and may not be returned: knives, illegal drugs, candles, coffee makers, clothes irons, hot plates, electrical transformers, flammable liquids, explosives, dangerous chemicals, martial arts gear, handcuffs, HAM radios, and alcoholic beverages not in accordance with the Alcoholic Beverages Policy. BOOKING AND PAYING FOR YOUR RESERVATION BOOKING A CRUISE Travel agencies can provide valuable advice and services to individuals considering a cruise. Celebrity encourages guests to book their Celebrity cruise through a travel agent of their choice who understands their individual needs. Any travel agent used by guests in connection with making arrangements for their Celebrity cruise, air accommodations, or any related travel, lodging, and tours is their agent. Celebrity is not responsible for any failure by guest’s travel agent to remit their deposits or payments to Celebrity, and they shall remain liable to Celebrity for any portion of the cruise or related fares that Celebrity did not receive. Similarly, Celebrity is not responsible for any failure by guest’s travel agency to remit a refund from Celebrity to them. Celebrity’s minimum age to sail unaccompanied on sailings originating in North America is 21. The minimum age to sail unaccompanied on sailings from South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand is 18. The Company retains the right, on rare occasions, to raise the minimum age to sail unaccompanied on any sailing when local laws require or permit such a modification. This age limit will be waived for minor children sailing with their parents or guardians in adjacent staterooms; for underage married couples; and for active duty members of the United States or Canadian military. Certain other restrictions may apply, such as proof of marriage or proof of active duty military status. DEPOSITS/PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS Deposit requirements are per person unless otherwise noted. The minimum deposit amount must be received within up to seven (7) days of booking, varying based on time prior to departure. Final payment of the balance must be received at Celebrity’s offices at least 120 days prior to sailing for Celebrity Xpedition® and Celebrity FloraSM. If guests booked their cruise through their travel agency, guests must provide payment to their travel agent. Travel agents: Make checks payable to Celebrity Cruises Inc., P.O. Box 025511, Miami, FL 33102-5511. For express mail or courier deliveries, send to Celebrity Cruises Inc., 1050 Caribbean Way, Miami, FL 33132, Attn: Cash Processing Department. If guests booked their cruise directly with Celebrity, guests may pay us via credit card, money order, or personal check. Celebrity accepts

Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Optima®, Diners Club International®, and Discover® cards for individual bookings. Cancellations must be made by guests or their travel agents. Depending on when the cruise is canceled, a cancellation charge may apply. See chart for applicable late-cancellation charges for cruises. (Cancellation charges for groups vary from those for individuals.) No refunds will be made in the event of a no-show or if guests interrupt their cruise. All appropriate refunds will be made through their travel agent. Celebrity is not responsible for any payments guests made to their travel agent that are not paid to Celebrity, or any refunds that Celebrity has provided to their travel agent. Travel agents may impose their own charges in connection with a cruise. For example, the travel agent may charge a flat service fee for assistance with your reservations and a value-added charge for additional amenities or services being provided by the travel agent. In addition, travel agents may impose their own cancellation fees. Any charges or fees of this nature are a matter strictly between guests and their travel agents. CELEBRITY XPEDITION® AND CELEBRITY FLORASM Deposit requirements: A deposit must be made in order to reserve a stateroom and receive a written confirmation. Minimum deposit requirements: $450 USD per person. All suites require double the deposit amounts listed above. Charges for late cancellation of cruises: Days-prior-tosailing charges (per person). 119–89 days: Deposit ($450 for staterooms or $900 for suites) 88–43 days: 50% of total fare (taxes, fees, and port expenses excluded) 42–22 days: 75% of total fare (taxes, fees, and port expenses excluded) 21 days or less: No refund except for taxes, fees, and port expenses SERVICE FEES Any changes or cancellations to your cruise or air arrangements (to which a cancellation charge does not apply) may be subject to additional fees, such as service fees for documents. DOCUMENTATION Guests are responsible for bringing all travel documents, such as passports, visas, proof of citizenship, and proof of mandatory inoculations, required for boarding the vessel in Ecuador and for entry or re-entry into any countries through which their voyage or other travel arrangements take them. At a minimum, each guest is required by Ecuadoran law to have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the departure date from Ecuador. Guests who do not possess the proper documentation may be prevented from boarding their
flight or ship, or from debarking or entering a country, and may be subject to fines. Also, it is important that the name on the reservation be exactly as it is stated on the passport or other official citizenship document. If the guest’s name has changed since the document was issued (i.e. marriage/divorce), it is required that the document be updated with the new name, or provide official supporting document(s) of the name change. Otherwise, it may result in delay or possible denial of boarding. Visit celebrity.com/documentation for up-to-date information on documentation. For additional passport information, visit www.travel.state .gov or the passport service of your choice, such as CIBT Passport and Visa Service at www.cibt.com/celebrity. For more information on Special Groups (requirements for U.S. and Canadian children, groups of children, U.S. military...), please visit www.cbp.gov/travel. CRUISE DOCUMENTS Guests’ cruise documents provide information relevant to the sailing. Normally, documents will be received by the travel agent 30–50 days prior to sailing, assuming cruise elements are finalized and payments made. Group and Air/Sea documents require additional steps and will normally be received by the travel agent within 30 days of sailing. All documents will be provided electronically via the internet (eDocs) for travel agency access. Documents may not be provided in advance for bookings finalized the week of sailing. Guests will obtain pertinent details at the pier prior to boarding and on board the ship. Regardless of document status, no one will be allowed passage unless his or her name appears on the ship’s guest manifest. All cruise tickets and air arrangements are valid only for the named passenger and may not be sold or transferred. ONLINE CHECK-IN To expedite the boarding process, it is strongly recommended that guests complete online check-In. Just visit celebrity.com/onlinecheckin. For those who do not complete online check-in, the forms will be included in the cruise documents. Please fill out these forms before you leave. Note: Applicable laws and regulations may require Celebrity to collect and pass on to governmental and other authorized bodies certain personal and other details. If guests fail to supply the details requested fully and accurately, they may not be permitted to board the ship or their flight. If, as a result of their failure to comply with the foregoing, Celebrity incurs any fines, surcharges, or other financial penalty, guests will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly. PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS Make sure you have the proper forms of identification
needed for your particular trip. Visit celebrity.com/ documentation for up-to-date information on passport requirements. FAMILY LEGAL DOCUMENTS Should the last names of the parent and minor child traveling with them differ, the parent is required to present the child’s valid passport and visa (if required) and the child’s government-issued birth certificate (original, a notarized copy, or a certified copy). The name of the parent(s) and the child must be linked through legal documentation. Adults who are not the parent or legal guardian of any minor child traveling with them are required to present the child’s valid passport and visa (if required) or the child’s government-issued birth certificate (original, a notarized copy, or a certified copy) and an original notarized letter signed by at least one of the child’s parents. The notarized letter from the child’s parent must authorize the traveling adult to take the child on the specific cruise and must authorize the traveling adult to supervise the child and permit any medical treatment that must be administered to the child. If a nonparent adult is a legal guardian, the adult must present a certified certificate of guardianship with respect to the child. INOCULATIONS/HEALTH All guests must ensure they are medically fit for travel. As such, we remind guests to check with their physician at least 4–6 weeks before sailing to make sure they are up to date with any required immunizations or vaccines they may need (including but not limited to certification of yellow fever vaccination) to ensure they will be permitted to visit each of the exciting destinations and tours on their itinerary. For further information, guests may contact the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Traveler’s Health web site at www.cdc.gov/travel or toll-free at 1-800-232-4636. VISAS Please contact the embassy (consular services) of each country on your sailing itinerary or the visa service of your choice for specific visa requirements, information, forms, and fees for your nationality. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure the required visas are secured prior to boarding the ship. GUEST LIABILITY If, as a result of guests' lack of proper documentation, a fine or other cost is incurred by Celebrity Cruises, guests agree to indemnify Celebrity Cruises for such expenses. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to identify all travel, inoculation, and health requirements and obtain and have available when necessary the appropriate valid travel documents, such as passports and visas, inoculation
documents such as yellow fever certificates, and other health requirements. GUEST CONDUCT GUEST CONDUCT POLICY The Guest Conduct Policy (GCP) is a written code of behavior that is expected of all guests sailing on a Celebrity cruise vacation. It is available for review on line at celebrity.com and at the Guest Relations desk. A copy also is placed in each guest stateroom. The GCP is intended to help ensure that all guests are able to participate in a safe and enjoyable cruise experience. Failure to act in accordance with the GCP will result in consequences, up to removal from a ship at the next port of call, intervention by law enforcement, and denial of boarding on future cruises. REFUSAL OF BOOKING REQUEST OR PASSAGE We are delighted to have provided safe and enjoyable cruises to our guests over the years. To facilitate our ability to continue to provide safe and enjoyable cruises to our guests, we reserve the right to refuse to accept a booking request from an individual or group and reserve the right to cancel an existing reservation. For more details, see our Refusal to Transport policy and Guest Conduct policy, both of which are available on line at celebrity.com. The Refusal to Transport policy provides, among other things, that a booking request may be denied, for example, where the guest’s conduct on a prior cruise has resulted in disciplinary measures by Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean International®, Azamara Club Cruises®, or any other affiliated cruise line. Celebrity is not liable for its refusal to transport any passenger or for its removal of any guest in accordance with these policies. In addition, Celebrity shall not be required to refund any amount paid by any guest who must leave the cruise vacation prematurely pursuant to either policy, nor shall Celebrity be responsible for lodging, meals, return transportation, or other expenses incurred by the guest, or for any consequential or punitive damages. Any dispute between a guest and Celebrity in connection with a guest’s cruise booking or cruise shall be litigated, if at all, in and before a court located in Miami, Florida, U.S.A., to the exclusion of the courts of any other state, territory, or country. PASSAGE TICKET CONTRACT The transportation of guests and baggage on Celebrity Xpedition and Celebrity Flora is governed by the terms and conditions of the Cruise Ticket Contract included as part of the cruise documentation. The Cruise Ticket Contract, which is between the carrier Islas Galapagos Turismo y Vapores C.A. (hereafter IGTV) and guests for
sailings on Celebrity Flora or between the carrier Oceanadventures S.A. and the guests for sailings on Celebrity Xpedition, limits their rights against both the Carrier and Celebrity. Among other things, the Cruise Ticket Contract sets forth limitations on the time frames in which claims may be made and suits filed against the Carrier or Celebrity. It is important that guests read all of the terms and conditions of the Cruise Ticket Contract, paying particular attention to sections 11 and 12. The carrier for Celebrity Flora sailings is Islas Galapagos Turismo y Vapores C.A. (hereafter IGTV) and for Celebrity Xpedition sailings is Oceanadventures S.A. Note: A Cruise Ticket Contract must be signed by each guest prior to boarding. (Copies are available upon request and may be available on line at celebrity.com/ cruiseticketcontract.) The terms and conditions set forth in this brochure shall also apply. Any and all information contained in this brochure, including prices, terms, and conditions, is subject to change at any time without notice. In the event of any conflict between (on the one hand) the terms and conditions of this brochure, any advertisements or offers related to a Celebrity Flora or Celebrity Xpedition cruise, or any oral or written representation of any carrier or Celebrity representative, and (on the other hand) the Cruise Ticket Contract, the terms of the Cruise Ticket Contract shall govern. GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES AND SPECIAL NEEDS Please note the ability to accommodate guests with special needs aboard the vessels in the Galapagos Islands is limited. The Galapagos vessels cannot accommodate guests who are full-time wheelchair users. In addition, the land portion of these vacations, including Quito and Galapagos in Ecuador, as well as Lima, Cuzco, and Machu Picchu in Peru, are not suited to persons who are full-time wheelchair users. A guest on a Celebrity Galapagos vacation must be able to ascend or descend steps into a motor coach, walk and/or climb over uneven ground for extended distances, get on and off tenders on both wet and dry landings, and be able to climb stairs. Celebrity Xpedition and Celebrity Flora do not offer accessible staterooms. Guests should be reminded that Celebrity is not required to provide personal assistance (e.g. assisting with eating, dressing, toileting, lifting, etc.), and therefore, guests requiring assistance with these functions should consider these needs when making a booking. Guests should contact our Access Department in writing via email at special_needs@celebrity.com or via fax at 1-954-628-9622. ONBOARD PHYSICIANS Celebrity Xpedition and Celebrity Flora are each equipped
with a medical facility. One licensed physician (licensed under Ecuadoran law) is normally in attendance on board. The medical services and medications kept on board are extremely limited, and guests must bring an adequate supply of any specific medications they need. The medical facility is not intended or designed to serve as a clinic for guests, and the use of those facilities (including any medications obtained there from) will result in a charge to the guest. We are not responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, or services furnished by shipboard medical personnel, who are independent contractors. LIABILITY CELEBRITY’S LIABILITY Guests release Celebrity from any and all claims for loss or damage to baggage or property, or for personal injuries or death, or for loss from delay, arising out of the acts, omissions, or negligence of any independent contractors, such as air carriers, hotels, shore providers, restaurateurs, transportation providers, medical personnel, or other providers of services or facilities. Under no circumstances does Celebrity’s responsibility extend beyond the vessel. All arrangements made for the guest with independent contractors are made solely for the convenience of the guest and are at the guest’s risk. Celebrity disclaims all liability for damages for emotional distress, mental suffering, or psychological injury of any kind, under any circumstances, except to the extent such disclaimer is prohibited by 46U.S.C.A4183c.(b). GUEST LIABILITY Each guest agrees to indemnify Celebrity for all penalties, fines, charges, losses, or expenses incurred or imposed upon Celebrity by virtue of any act, omission, or violation of law by the guest. Each guest, or if a minor, his or her parent or guardian, shall be liable to and shall reimburse Celebrity for all damage to the ship and its furnishings and equipment, or any property of the ship, caused by any willful or negligent act or omission on the part of the guest. SAFETY AND SECURITY Q: Are there security professionals on board? A: Yes, Celebrity ships are staffed with a chief security officer and dedicated onboard security team that sails with the ship at all times. Q: Are cruise destinations safe? A: Celebrity offers vacations to locations where guests want to travel; and while the safety and security of our ships, guests, and crew is very important to us, we recognize that people have differing opinions and thresholds for what they consider safe and secure. Information about the security situation in destinations
57
around the world is publicly available on regularly updated travel security and government web sites. Just as for land vacations, this is helpful and important information for guests to consider in preparation for a cruise vacation. We strongly recommend that guests and their travel agents obtain and consider such information when making travel decisions. TRAVEL PROTECTION Q: Is cancellation coverage available? A: The CruiseCare® Cancellation Penalty Waiver program waives the nonrefundable cancellation provision of your Cruise Ticket Contract and pays you the value of the unused portion of your cruise vacation in the event that you or your traveling companion needs to cancel the cruise for covered reasons. If you need to cancel for any other reason, you may be eligible for cruise credits equal to 75% of the nonrefundable value of your prepaid cruise vacation. Q: Will guests need extra insurance? A: Because our liability for loss or damage is limited by the Cruise Ticket Contract, we recommend that all guests check their own insurance coverage prior to departure. For some peace of mind, Celebrity Cruises’ CruiseCare Travel Insurance program offers competitive medical, baggage, and trip delay coverage for the duration of their cruise vacation. Q: Is there any baggage protection? A: Our optional CruiseCare Travel Insurance program provides up to $1,500 in baggage protection due to loss, theft, or damage. Should guests’ bags be delayed by the airline for more than 24 hours, they may be reimbursed up to $500 toward any purchase of necessary items. CELEBRITY CRUISECARE CruiseCare Cancellation Penalty Waiver program If your plans go awry and you cancel—or interrupt—your cruise vacation (for covered reasons), Celebrity Cruises will waive the nonrefundable cancellation provision of your Cruise Ticket Contract and pay you the value of the unused portion of your prepaid cruise vacation. Also, should you or your traveling companion need to cancel the cruise for any other reason, you may be eligible for
cruise credits (up to 75% of the nonrefundable, prepaid cruise vacation cost). A SPECTACULAR DAY IN THE LIFE OF FLOREANA ISLAND
We woke to the rich aromas of breakfast. I had a delicious veggie omelet with cheese, fresh-squeezed juice, and a second cup of coffee to prep for a busy day. Our naturalist guided us to a lagoon full of brightly colored flamingos. We even saw a flamingo chick—a rare sight. The ride to Champion Islet for some deepwater snorkeling was incredible—rock formations in the distance, birds and dolphins right next to us. We were blown away by all the tropical fish and sea creatures in the crystal-clear waters—like swimming in the coolest aquarium. We saw so many sea lions, turtles, starfish, corals, rays, urchins, even sharks. The sea lions were my favorites. They played with us, danced pirouettes, and blew bubbles. I tried my best to keep the camera steady. Hope I got some of their antics on video. On board for lunch, I went with the fish—grilled to perfection—and indulged in the local desserts. Hey, I’m on vacation. At Post Office Bay, we learned about pirates, buccaneers, whalers, and such. really just a barrel where they would leave mail for any ship heading in the right direction. The tradition endures. I left a postcard for my sister and took one heading to Fort Lauderdale—now I need to deliver it. At Baroness Outlook, we heard about an indulgent baroness and her three lovers—best story of the trip. Back on board, we gathered in the Discovery Lounge for sunset cocktails, and the naturalists started to get us excited for tomorrow’s activities. I signed up for everything. At dinner, I overindulged again—so many delicious options—then headed back to the Discovery Lounge to share stories with new friends and do some dancing. Went outside and gazed up at an amazing sky. Saw the Milky Way, a shooting star, even a satellite. I didn’t know it was a satellite, but a fellow guest was a professor. This is my favorite place to write in the journal. Can’t wait until tomorrow. – Blown Away, Miami
