Through service, we create leaders who understand that giving back with their time, money and hearts is important.

Service. Through service, we prepare our students to be leaders in a global society. They provide support to the mother of a sick child. They rejoice with the patient who receives much-needed medical attention and care. They open their eyes to alternatives in health care and they realize that they truly can have a voice. Service, outreach and clinical opportunities at the College of Health Sciences extend far beyond the borders of our state. Our students impact the lives of others in countries such as Africa, Mexico, Australia, the United Kingdom, Ecuador and more. As a land-grant university, the University of Kentucky has service embedded in its mission. At the College of Health Sciences, we entrust our students with philanthropic experiences that not only make a difference in the lives of those they serve, but also in their own. Through service, we create leaders who understand that giving back with their time, money and hearts is important.

A Message from the Dean The challenges that our clinicians, researchers, educators and students face are different than ever before. The health care landscape continuously changes, yet we are committed to educating clinicians and leaders who are ready and willing to take on these challenges. We have faculty that inspire, students who are excited to discover, researchers fueled by passion and places that need the services we can provide. What we are missing is the financial resources to recruit leading faculty, to fund student scholarships, to provide our researchers with the resources they need and to sponsor service learning experiences. As the Dean of the College of Health Sciences, I know that making these dreams a reality is within reach. I ask you to consider making a gift that will support our dream for tomorrow and that will invest in a healthier future for all of us.

Warmest Wishes,

Lori S. Gonzalez, Ph.D. Dean, College of Health Sciences
