BACHELOR OF JOURNALISM One-Year Program
ONE-YEAR BACHELOR OF JOURNALISM You can find our alumni in newsrooms around the world. They cover community news, politics, arts, crime and events that change the world. They produce science programs, edit sports magazines and create feature documentaries. Some use their journalism skills to succeed in law, advertising, politics, fiction writing and other professions. If you see yourself as a storyteller, and if you have already completed one degree, then the King’s Bachelor of Journalism is the place for you. Our faculty work closely with students, helping them use solid journalism to tell engaging stories online, on air and on paper. All of our journalism faculty bring real-world experience to their jobs; they have won national awards, written authoritative texts and continue to practice their craft. Students in the one-year Bachelor of Journalism program don’t just learn technology and technique. They learn to think like journalists; to follow their curiosity, to ask questions, to see the world in terms of a story and to communicate it clearly. As a Bachelor of Journalism graduate you will have a professional portfolio and the skills to work as a reporter or editor. You may also choose to use your skills in any profession or career that calls on you to communicate well, to analyze and explain complex issues and to connect with other people. signalhfx.ca | ukings.ca
