The Muğla regional administration works with the British Consulates in Bodrum, Marmaris and Fethiye to help ensure the safety and security of British nationals in the region and to assist them when there is a problem. Over the last few years various initiatives have improved and streamlined the services offered to those in trouble of all nationalities in the Muğla region. But there is always more that can be done. On 30-31 July, Muğla University will be hosting a workshop, cofunded by the British Embassy, to examine the specific problem of sexual crimes including; how they are managed through the police, forensic and court systems; good and bad practice; perpetrator and victim profiles and the impact of behaviours. Members of the Governor’s office, Municipality, Public Prosecutors’ offices, Courts, Sitki Kocman University, Gendarmerie, Police, Family and Social Matters Directorate, Education Directorate, State Hospitals, Health Directorate, Mugla Lawyers’ Bar, Forensic Department and British Consulate in Marmaris will attend the workshop. Members of public who are interested in the subject are welcome to participate in the workshop on 30 July. There is no need to book, just turn up.
