What if my academic program begins prior to July 1, 2017?

With the building in construction phases, University Flats will not be open prior to July 1, 2017. Those in need of a temporary residence prior to the opening of U Flats can contact Summer Conferece Housing at sch.uky.edu. This option is available to all future residents and pricing considerations are based on the construction schedule.

What is included?

There are fully furnished 1 Bedroom and Studio Apartment floor plans at University Flats. Amenities include: Kitchen Area: Range/Oven, Refrigerator, Microwave, Dishwasher, 2 Bar Stools Living Room Area: Sofa, End Table, Television Stand Bedroom Area: Full XL TempurPedic mattress, Dressers, Desk In Unit Washer/Dryer All Utilities Cable High-Speed Internet

What do I need to bring?

You will need to provide any personal belongings to make the space your home. Make sure to include cooking utensils, linens, toiletries and your television and laptop.

I am arriving later than the leasing term dates above or staying for a short time period. What should I do? Contact the Campus Housing Office at 859-257-1866. We might have an option for you.

What if I want to stay in University Flats for additional terms?

As long as you have a signed license agreement and continue to meet license terms, you do not have to move out of your space. You will have the first opportunity to renew your space for additional terms when we begin leasing for 2018-2019.

Frequently Asked Questions Where can I park my vehicle?

Living on campus qualifies you for a Residential (R) parking pass, and depending on your University classification you may qualify for an Employee (E) parking pass. Both options are available near University Flats. You can contact Parking Services at 859-257-5757 for more information.

What are some of the other benefits that come with living at University Flats?

University Flats has a private entrance for the Graduate/Professional wing that is completely separate from the undergraduate section. On the top floor there is a large common area open to all residents to socialize and study. You will also have access to the amenities of the undergraduate wing, including a large clubhouse lounge with multiple televisions and a fire place, an outdoor patio area with a fireplace and a sand volleyball court. University Flats is located next to The 90 dining facility. Although a meal plan is not required for residents of U Flats, The 90 offers a large range of food options including La Madeleine, Taco Bell and the Fresh Food Company, an all you care to eat restaurant on campus.
