Print ad sizes

Print ads are calculated by multiplying the height of an ad by the number of columns it spans. For example, a 6-inch tall, two-column wide ad would be 12 column-inches. The actual measurement in a three-column paper would be 6.5 inches wide by 6 inches tall, and 4.75 inches wide by 6 inches tall in Almanac Weekly.

Some marketers find it easier to think in terms of common page dimensions, so we included some sample sizes in the figure on the left and table below. We can, of course, create ads of any column-width and height.

Placement for print display ads is not guaranteed, but we will try to accommodate requests. Mistakes must be reported within seven days. No refunds, only credit given in case of a mistake that affects the material value of the ad. Publisher is not responsible for return of artwork, photos, etc. Contract deals Bulk and consecutive insertion contract deals may not be used simultaneously. Payment is due upon billing. If payment is not received within 20 days after billing date, all discounts are rescinded. Terms: New display advertisers must pay in advance until credit is established. Commissionable and national rates are 15% above listed rates. For contract display advertisers with a zero balance only, a 5% additional prepayment discount is available. A finance change of 1.5% per month will be imposed on all accounts 30 days past due. Advertisers not fulfilling their contract commitments will be short-rated to the nearest earned rate. Contract and prepayment rates are not applicable to not-for-profit organizations. Classified ads Appear in Almanac Weekly. $20 for 30 words; 20 cents for each additional word. $72 for four weeks (30 words); $225 for 13 weeks; $425 for 26 weeks; $800 for a year; each additional word after 30 is 20 cents per word per week.
