The Perfect Vintage
After much deliberation and a lot of research, I’ve recently invested in some mid-century modern furniture. I’ve been looking for a dining table and chairs for what seems like years! Firstly, I started looking at new pieces, I’d an idea in my head of the style I wanted and, quite frankly, it just didn’t exist or if it did it was badly designed and very uncomfortable. Then I discovered, Betty’s Lounge, a locally based mid-century modern furniture and homeware specialist, and am now obsessed with pretty much everything they have, plus I found the table and chairs of my dreams. There’s a host of benefits to choosing pre-loved. It makes sense that furniture that’s been around for decades is better made and will be beautifully designed; you know the saying, they don’t make them like they used to! Plus, it’s so much better for the environment. For inspiration, head to bettyslounge.com
