SAM MCBRIDE TRUST CHARITY EVENING

The Sam McBride Charitable Trust held their charity evening at Temple Golf Club on 28th January. The Lord Mayor’s office and Councillor Mackin, local motorbike riders, friends, family and supporters enjoyed an evening of fundraising fun and entertainment. The trustees and their families look forward to the completion of their goal in seeing the memorial motorbike monument take pride of place in its new home on the Temple roundabout, in tribute to the late Sam McBride, the Temple 100 Road Race and the local community. They are grateful to everyone who has helped their monumental vision to soon become a reality and endeavour to continue fundraising for the NI Air Ambulance Service in 2023.

Ballyclare Careers Convention

Ballyclare Secondary School and Ballyclare High School Careers Convention was back on the annual calendar this year. Both schools are delighted to have this event up and running again and what a huge success this year’s event was.

Over 70 employers, training agencies, professionals, colleges and universities from across the UK and Ireland attended the event – each sharing their expertise and guidance with the pupils and parents in the Ballyclare Learning Community.

The school took pleasure in welcoming over 1400 guests to the event; the whole school was buzzing with the vast range of opportunities and pathways available to our young people.

Both schools would like to thank all exhibitors who gave of their time to attend the event and also the staff and members of the PTA who coordinated the event.
