Since its opening in 2012 both the South Belfast Football League and the Belfast Trust Mental Health Team have been based in the building. In the evening various activities eg; Irish Dancing, Tae Kwando and Slimming World, take place. There are a range of rooms available for such activities as meetings and training courses. The worship centre used by BSMC on a Sunday is available as a conference centre which can seat 200. On a Thursday morning BSMC hosts a “Warm Space” from 10.00 to 12 noon and on a Friday evening a community meal from 6.00 to 7.00pm.
BSMC has an active Public Theology Group which hosts events focusing on topics such as poverty. Following engagement with the LGBTQ community several years ago, Spectrum, a Christian LGBTQ group, was formed and they meet at the Agape Centre for worship and socialising.
