A Historic Region Visit Newry and Mourne Museum

Visit Newry and Mourne Museum and see the exhibitions which trace the social and political history of this historic region.

The main exhibitions in the Museum include prehistoric material, Newry as a merchant town, the working life of the area and modern experiences of living in a Border area.

Also on display are the temporary exhibitions “Caring for the Community: The Development of Medicine in Newry and Mourne”, and “The Legacy: Newry 1920 – 1930.” Also, on display is “Seamus Mallon: The Man and the Politician” based on artefacts donated to Newry and Mourne Museum.
